The breakfast was previously in Kathleen’s kitchen and was the primary reason we rebooked - this time it was in the golf club and it was terrible - both service and food quality. Everything was brilliant, great food, great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. The pool and spa are fabulous too. Plenty to do, unfortunately I didn’t get the chance this time but I’ve played golf there before and both courses are excellent. All common areas and the rooms are spotlessly clean. The room were a good size with comfy beds. The hotel had made a real effort putting things on for the kids at Halloween. Will definitely be back.

The Carton House was a highlight of our trip to Ireland. The staff were attentive and kind, the hotel itself is gorgeous, and they have the most beautiful walking trails into the nearby town of Maynooth. We had an early flight with our young children in the morning, and the staff prepared breakfast to go for the car. Every detail was on point. Would recommend and stay at the Carton House again!
