On the reception Miss Samira and Abdullah highly recommended, the provide really great service so 5 star to them but zero star to the workers on work over there specially a room service guy Tasneem. He didn't even bother to knock at the door or clean the room not even once, no one comes at the room for cleaning, so zero star there, also the cleaning staff looks like they are always after the tips. I noticed people were paying tips, they cleaned there their rooms otherwise they didn't even come to you. The biggest bad thing about the hotel is the lift, there are 13 or 14 floors, don't think about using the lift, there is always a lot of people waiting for the lift and they have only 3 lifts, and from those 2 were for their own staff. The lifts were so conjusted, its hard to stand with the crowd.

I stayed at Graza with family and found it to be a mixed experience. The biggest highlight of this hotel is undoubtedly its proximity to the Haram. It's incredibly convenient as it's just a 2-minute walk away, making it ideal for those wanting to visit the religious site frequently. However, my experience was marred by the lifts, which were consistently terrible and exceedingly busy. It often took over 15 minutes just to catch a lift, and when one finally arrived, it was overcrowded with far too many people squeezing in at once. This was not just a minor inconvenience but significantly impacted my stay, leaving me quite unimpressed with this aspect of the hotel. My first impression was further tainted when I checked in. The room was not ready upon my arrival, and I was forced to wait an additional 45 minutes. When I finally got into my room, it was in poor condition, and there was an unpleasant smoke odor lingering. This prompted me to request a cancellation. Luckily, the hotel staff responded by upgrading me to a Suite, which was considerably better than the initial room I was assigned. This suite was cleaner and more pleasant, somewhat redeeming my experience. Overall, I would recommend grand place if your primary requirement is proximity to the Haram. Its location is fantastic for this purpose, but do be prepared for potential inconveniences such as the lift situation and possible delays in room readiness. The hotel staff did make an effort to rectify issues.

My experience at the Grand Plaza Al Madina Hotel was deeply disappointing, and I believe their entire staff, especially the front desk team, would benefit greatly from client experience training. While I understand that managing a large number of guests can be overwhelming, simple gestures like a smile or a genuine effort to assist guests can make a significant difference. There were several issues during my stay: * We were a group of four sharing a room, yet only two keys were provided, which had to be reprogrammed at the front desk multiple times a day. * Room service was virtually nonexistent. Basic requests for items like toilet paper and towels were only fulfilled the following day, despite repeated follow-ups. * The shower had no hot water, and despite the need for cost-cutting, these basics should never be compromised as they directly impact guest comfort. * Upon check-in, our luggage was taken by staff with the assurance it would be delivered to our room. Over an hour later, we found it left unattended in the lobby. * Lastly, running only two out of four elevators to serve hundreds of guests created unnecessary inconvenience and frustration. These shortcomings significantly detracted from my trip to this beautiful city. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel, as there are many other options that provide a far better experience.

After I arrived from a 14 hours flight, I was told by the hotel staff that they didn’t have my reservation. After seeing that I had all necessary details, they finally told me that the reservation had been cancelled and I didn’t have a room at the hotel any longer. I was left completely on my own at 2am with nowhere to stay for the next five days! They also did this to another couple just so they could rebook at higher last minute prices. Absolutely horrible staff without any remorse!
