Check in was really bad. Booked there deluxe room shown as Queen bed when arrived was too single beds queen bedroom was unavailable after run one hour discussion and venting my frustrations. I went back online to book another room elsewhere and found that that hotel had six rooms left with queen beds. They made me upgrade and pay an extra $90 which I did very disappointed that what if would allow our hotel advertise and picture queen size bedrooms and then on arrival give you a room with two single beds in it. The lady at the counter was rude and unhelpful. I will be booking with stayscom from now on not happy.

We stay here each time we are in the city. Convenient location to trains, food and entertainment. The breakfast buffet is a bonus. The rooms are always clean and comfortable with everything you need. Check in this time was a bit of a mess. Having booked a room with a queen bed for our anniversary weekend we were told we had only booked 2 singles. Having checked my booking while at check in, I saw it was a queen bed reservation. The young man went on to "find" a queen room for us and then acted like he had done us a huge gesture. He then was unsure as to whether we had paid for our booking and had to go through many screens to confirm. It wasn't the best start.

The hotel is well situated for walking to the river and centre of Melbourne though is not obvious with the entrance down a drive-through between two roads and reception on the 7th floor. Included breakfast was a great bonus for us but we found the bed uncomfortably hot with its plastic section presumably to protect the mattress and the bottom flat sheet being so small it kept rucking up.

Convenient Location - Sub Standard Stay

Location was convenient however it would be advantageous to have check in & carpark access on the website as having to park in a driveway, go up to level 7 to check in then back down to street level to then access carpark was not convenient. Reception staff chatting amongst themselves oblivious to guests queuing to check in. Room was like sauna when we walked in as the heater was on high. Sleep quality was not great as the mattress was like a rock, no top sheet & a short, lightweight coverlet. Room cleanliness was unhygienic with the bins not emptied, sticky substance on bedside table & only 1 towel for 2 guests. An hour wait for a burger & a toasted sandwich in the bar, delivered cold. Breakfast was equally underwhelming with stone cold bacon, eggs ect & warm juice, it was a common theme of other guests leaving their food uneaten which was not only a waste of food but non tempered food & juices can cause food poisoning! After checkout we stopped at a nearby cafe to eat. Checkout staff was friendly & efficient however our overall experience was very sub standard!
