Pictures appear to be newer and nicer than the actual. Didn’t know it was an old hotel that was refurbished. Aircon and heater in the room were very noisy. Hotel did not even provide complimentary bottled water, was told to drink from the tap - this was something that was slightly appalling. House keeping was friendly and good, front of house could be a little more helpful and friendly. Location is great however hotel is located on a slightly noisier and rowdier stretch of the city.

It's in between 2 theatre venues (Her Majesty on Exhibition St & Princess on Spring St) Chinatown, lots of popular eateries, bars, Parliament House nearby, parks, Parliament train station, trams that go to other suburbs & in & around the cbd area, St Patrick's Cathedral, Exhibition Building, lots of hotel with lovely restaurants in them for drinks & snacks, high tea & just too many other things to mention!

Beautiful clean room and super comfy bed. Hosted hour was a real welcome bonus. Unfortunately the fitness centre was tiny and poorly equipped however there was complimentary access to a mainstream gym approximately 8 minutes walk away

Quiet, comfy and luxurious

Love this hotel, its character and quirkyness. When the AC wasnt working right I was upgraded immediately to a lovely loft room. Quiet, comfy and quite luxurious this is a great Melbourne option.

Conveniently located near Her Majesty’s Theatre, and only a few minutes walk through China town to the CBD. We booked the penthouse two bedroom, both had kind beds which was perfect for my family. It is really hard to find two bedrooms at a decent price, that is not an apartment. It was a nice central location to cafes and restaurants. The room was clean and mini bar and refreshments were of good variety. The breakfast options were good too, but it is ideal to come down at 7am rather than leave it to peak hour, as you will be waiting. We had no plans though, so we were happy to wait. It could have also been due to being Easter holidays most were wanting to eat in. Overall, a nice stay.

Ideal location, well equipped and quiet rooms, stylish decor, and great value. All the staff we interacted with were extremely welcoming and friendly, and offered very helpful recommendations. Evening happy hour was a nice touch too! Will definitely stay again on our next trip to Melbourne.
