Our stay at Comfort Inn Monterey was great! We arrived around 2:30 PM just to check on our reservation since I knew check-in time was at 3 PM. To my surprise, the receptionist told us our room was already ready, so we were able to check in early! The room was spacious, and everything was working well: the bathroom, fridge, microwave, AC, etc. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, and the hotel has a sauna, which was a nice bonus. Breakfast was great too, a continental buffet with plenty of options. Another plus is the location: Old Fisherman’s Wharf, Lover’s Point, and the scenic 17-Mile Drive are all just about 15–20 minutes away. Overall, we had a wonderful and relaxing stay!

Good stay, they put us in room 109 which is right next to the dining room so a little noisy in morning as staff prepared breakfast. Breakfast was good and staff very helpful. Block away from the beach and across the street from Walmart. Utilized the gym and sauna. Pretty good pice for two nights.

Walls too thin

The room seemed nice enough. My nose started running from what I suspect were cleaning agents. Smelt on bedspread. Fragrant. Bed was uncomfortable and the Walls are Paper Thin!!! Couldn’t get a good nights sleep

HORRIBLE STAY! Walls are extremely thin, I could hear everything and the people above us must of been having a stomp party, ALL DAY AND NIGHT. I finally had enough and had to call the front desk at 10pm to tell them to quit being so loud! Everyone slams their doors going in and out their rooms. We stayed on the first floor, FORGET trying to sleep in passed 7am! You can hear everyone in the lobby getting breakfast, so loud. I'll NEVER stay here again!

Over all a good experience. Property is well kept and staff were very friendly and helpful. One minor knock on the room was it could have been a bit cleaner. All the important things were very clean (bathroom, bedding, desk, microwave, fridge, carpet), but the door to the balcony looked like it needed a good wipe down, the curtains had a large black stain that looked like int and an empty water bottle was peaking out under the vanity. Other than that I would recommend it overall.
