I had a reservation that was essentially cancelled for now reason. Staff refused to offer us any reason why. They just said 'there was an issue on that floor level'. They tried to pawn us off onto a sister-hotel that was in a horrible location and not nearly as nice. When we got to the sister hotel they told us that they had been told that the original hotel had sold out of rooms. Again, we had a reservation. We had chosen this particular hotel because it was near an event that we had come to town for and the sister-hotel wasn't even within walking distance. Needless to say, I was not impressed by the service at all. I would not recommend this hotel in any way and I hope no one experiences this inconveniece.

I was very disappointed with my stay here. To begin with, the person at reception gave us room layouts we didn’t reserve. Then, all three rooms we reserved for our group did not have working air conditioning. I was the only room to complain but had to call multiple times. The receptionist finally changed my room at 2am. However, the layout was different. So my kids were expected to sleep on a sofa bed yet the receptionist didn’t let me know or send extra bedding. We had to wait longer for the extra bedding but given it was almost 3am, we gave up and the whole family slept on the king bed. All the waiting in the middle of the night was pretty ridiculous. And just so you know, all rooms A/C is off when you walk in. You use your room card to turn it on and you have to wait for it to cool that’s if your room even has functioning air conditioning.

The entire staff is fantastic; they offer excellent customer service. The location of the Hotel Antaris is excellent. The building is old, and some areas are unmaintained, especially the pool area. The rooms and bathrooms need remodeling. The rooms don't have a coffee maker or a small refrigerator. The air conditioning system is poor. They tried to provide us with the best service so the air conditioning would work a little better, but they couldn't get the air conditioning to work properly. I think that, given such a good location and good service staff, they should do a major remodeling, removing the rugs from the rooms and improving what I mentioned earlier. The mattresses and pillows are very good. I hope my comments are helpful.
