Clean and comfortable with great staff. Free parking was a bonus as it allowed us to explore beyond the Island. The only downfall was the lack of a restaurant/lounge. Ironic, because prior to being a hotel, Ruby Foo's was a high end Chinese restaurant. However, there are plenty of other restaurants within a short walking distance including the famous Gilbeau's Orange Julius across the road. A Montréal icon.

The room itself was good. The check in process was not smooth. I had booked three rooms under my name. My friend checked into his room before I arrived, and somehow they switched the rooms to his name. So when I arrived, they couldn't find a booking under my name, which took sometime to figure out. Shortly afterwards I was asleep in my room but was bolted out of my sleep by someone trying to enter my room but I had engaged the latch on the inside of the door. So even though they were able to open my room door, they were not able to enter. Got out of bed all confused and went to the door. There were two young men trying to enter. Turns out the front desk had given them my room, despite the fact I had checked in 30 minutes earlier. This created another problem I had thought about in the moment. By giving someone else my room, the room key was deactivated. Went out that night and returned in the early hours of the morning but couldn't get into my room. Had to go back down to the front desk. But as they had initially moved my room to my friend's name , the new guy at the desk wasn't able to match my resovation to my name. So had to go through the entire process of trying to convince the new guy that the first guy had messed up my reso/chech in. At that point it was about 3am, I was drunk and just wanted to pass out.

We didn't get the type of room we requested after contacted the front desk about it i was told sorry there is nothing we can do but in the morning you can speak to the manager.....also the room we got had mold in the bathroom....im very disappointed mind you this hotel was renovated not long ago hmm
