Recommended

Our room was spacious and comfortable, with three windows that open. Front desk service was friendly and the restaurant is a local favourite. The hotel offers half pension which is popular, which means most outside tables are reserved for these guests. If you are not on half pension, try to reserve a table for dinnery when you make your reservation, not after you arrive. The hotel is within walking distance of all the sights in town. Parking is in a convenient garage across the street, but you can drive up to reception to check in and unpack. Tours are available of their brewery and of the town. This traditional hotel has been restored with a pleasing mix of traditional and modern elements and is a very pleasant place to stay.

It was located within walking distance to all the Medieval cathedrals and sites. The hotel operates its own delicious brewery. The hotel is extremely popular with German tourists. And the Saturday party night is not to be missed.

We went for a family trip and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly, the rooms are nice, the WiFi was slow, but the receptionist said they were working on it.

Comfortable and Central Hotel

I just stayed for one night. The room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Pleased with the room. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel has a nice restaurant and bar and they brew their own beer (recommended!). The location is excellent, right in the middle of Muhlhausen. The only problem I had was that I did not know about the festival being held in the town during my stay, and I had a very loud rock band playing until 2am right outside my window which kept me awake. I would have appreciated being informed of this event when making my booking.

Good value in the heart of the old town

I stayed in the Vila across the road from the old hotel. The room was large, comfortable and quiet. It's classified as a three star hotel and that's about right. It is in the centre of the old walled town so close to points of interest. Wifi was very up and down. Food average, beer, brewed right there, was good.

Great location and great beer!

We only stayed here one night but we loved it. We were able to walk here from the train station (about a 10 minute walk). There hotel is walking distance to all the beautiful churches within the city walls. The room was nice and cozy. The restaurant and brewery has great food and beer. The staff spoke enough English to get by but definitely not fluent.

Great hotel

Our stay at this hotel was quite short yet I have to say I personally loved it. The location is easy to find only about 15 minutes walk from the train station and the rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning is fantastic and nicely included into the price of the room. The staff are very friendly and polite and willing for help out. Overall I recommend this hotel and would stay there again. Final words, the fruit beer is gorgeous!

Great Hotel

I loved my stay at the hotel and especially the exclusive beer they brew there. Very friendly staff, great menu and chef and top of all the breakfast with warm bread and local milk are just unbeatable.

Sehr gute Parkmöglichkeiten, sehr gutes Abendessen, Im Frühstücksraum war es etwas unkoordiniert. Lag aber wahrscheinlich an der Frühstückszeit. Insgesamt ganz gut werde es noch mal besuchen wenn ich geschäftlich hier in der Nähe bin.

Das Hotelbild täuscht eine Gemütlichkeit vor.

Dieses Hotel hat im Service stark nachgelassen. Eine Tischbestellung an der Rezeption bei der Ankunft wurde nicht weitergeleitet. Die Bedienung im Restaurant war zeitweilig verschollen. Das Essen war lieblos auf dem Teller platziert. Ich kenne dieses Haus aus früheren Besuchen, aber leider hat es sehr stark nachgelassen. Das Haus hat sich stark vergrößert hat dafür aber viel von der eigentlichen Gemütlichkeit eingebüßt. Das Personal ist nicht mehr Gast bezogen sondern arbeitet nur noch nach Vorschrift. Das aber auch ziemlich schlecht.
