The room was clean. I deducted 1 point as I booked a double room by mistake and asked to change to single within about 10 minutes but this was refused. Admittedly, it was a non-refundable booking, but I was only seeking a change and not a cancellation. They could have been more accommodating.

The location is great- just off the train and around the corner from the ice rink/ start of the markets. Room was average at best- cleaned but in need of update- stained carpet, outdated decor, old hair dryer that barely worked, etc. Breakfast was the bare minimum- for $15 you can get much better coffee/ options nearby. We got to the hotel early. The guy at reception said there might be a room available within an hour and half. When we got to the room it was a family room with 4 twins and not the double room we had booked.

This is the second time we have stayed at Hotel Daniel this year. The staff are always very helpful and cheerful. The rooms have always been spotless and quiet. We always opt to have breakfast, which is a buffet-style affair with a good selection. The location is well placed for tourism and for tram connections. We expect to visit again at least once next year.

Highly recommend, easy access to train station. Very walkable to many tourist attractions. Early check-in was not possible but there is an area for luggage storage (no locked door/room). Would definitely stay here again for convenience.

The shower in our room did not work properly and the TV never worked. I did not report it because we were out constantly out with friends and when we could the reception area was always busy. The hotel is however, centrally located for the main sights in Munich.
