Not a pleasant stay

I messaged the owners upon arrival of our displeasure of a few of the things that we noticed right off the bat and never received a response. These are the things we weren’t happy with during our stay: only 2 forks in kitchen, TV in the living room kept pausing on its own, both beds were awful. They squeaked and made awful noises and sheets and pillows were uncomfortable. Bathroom grout on the floor was horrible. Couch pillows were stained. We didn’t feel safe in the neighborhood. The Nextdoor neighbors fought and yelled and police were called. Several questionable people, looked like homeless people in vicinity and in building. Not enough toilet paper or shampoo in unit. No body wash in unit and one tiny soap in unit. People were smoking in the building and pets were in the building.

I was totally disappointed with our stay at Blue Water Resort. First, the door code was not emailed to me at 4:00pm. After multiple calls and emails to various people, we got the code around 11:00 pm. In the meantime, we stood in the hall with our luggage. Neither of us felt very safe. The next day, the key card for the garage quit working. We then spent time emailing and texting VRBO and Empire to get the card working. We could not get into the garage to get the car out without the key card. Also, we could not get into various areas of the property without the key card. This took over 24 hours to fix. I really did not enjoy spending hours emailing, texting, and calling to get these problems fixed. I went on vacation to get away from technology. Then, the TV kept buffering due to the poor internet. We were unable to watch anything on TV. We were given 4 towels for 2 people for our stay of 4 nights. Overall, due to the lack of communication and technology issues, our vacation was not as relaxing as I had hoped. I will not be using Empire Reality nor VRBO again.

Once you get in it is fine

The biggest hassle with this location is getting in. The Host sent us an E-mail from their direct account with the details so I did not receive them until we got in the suite. If they had sent details through VRBO it might have went smoother. No one answered when we called and could not get in, and security was no where to be found. (They were present the rest of the time) In terms of size think of a galley kitchen and then elongate it and shove in 2 beds, a bathroom a couch, a table and some chairs. You get used to it and it is doable, but we came from a gorgeous full suite immediately before this so it was a shock to the system. (It is clearly listed with square footage, but honestly it takes some getting used to, especially when you are 6'4:) The beds are very high so if you are shorter and have mobility issues this could be a problem. While they are a bit noisy and seem unstable they held my large frame with no problems and were surprisingly comfortable. All in all not a bad stay and great location as a base to spend time along the beach.

Excellent

Very nice little condo! Parking a little confusing upon arrival. Park in the temporary parking, unload the car and go to your room first. Key card gets you in the parking garage which is two streets behind you. Security guard is very helpful if you have questions. Pizza place was closed. Bummer. All in all a great place for a weekend getaway.
