I stayed at Nagoya Prince Hotel Sky Tower for 4 nights on the top floor. The stay overall was pleasant — the breakfast was great, and the club lounge was beautiful. The facilities are excellent, and the views from the top floor are stunning. Location was not that great.
However, I was disappointed by the service. While most staff were polite, the handling of a small issue left a bad impression. I accidentally took a cable charger and realized it as soon as I landed in another country. I immediately admitted my mistake and offered to pay for it, which would have been the simplest solution. Instead, the staff member (Nagai) insisted that I ship it back at my own expense. This was very inconvenient, especially since I travel frequently and don’t have time to go to the post office, and the shipping cost would end up being more than the cable charger itself. When I shared my feedback, hoping for some flexibility, the responses felt abrupt and rigid, with no acknowledgment of my concerns. At the end, I was even told “we hope you visit again,” which felt out of touch given the situation.
I understand it was my mistake, but I wish the staff had shown more flexibility and customer care. For a hotel of this class, I expected service that adapts to the situation rather than following rules so mechanically.
Great facilities and food, but service did not meet the same standard. Would not recommend.
