The first impression was really bad. It is in the middle of the city—very crowded and dirty. However, the hotel is very well located, and I felt safe. There were a lot of police officers around.

Fantastic staff, room, location. I was in room 1 - huge, great to have kettle etc - which looked out into the galleria Umberto so if noise is an issue bring ear plugs

Everything about the property was great. The staff was very courteous and extremely helpful. The hotel is located centrally to all the attractions. The breakfast lounge had gluen free options that was very helpful. I wish the internet was little better.

We had the most amazing experience at Hotel Matilde. Everything was superb, from check in to check out. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is perfect for exploring the Spanish Quarter and is only a 10 minute walk to the historic centre. The hotel itself is stunning, we loved our room and the facilities were superb. The breakfast is amazing, one of the best we ever had. The fresh pastries are wonderful. I can say we appreciated every moment of our stay. The staff restaurant suggestions were also very, very good. Naples is an incredible city and I really do recommend Hotel Matilde for a stay.

Excellent hotel right in the heart of Naples. Don’t let the entrance fool you. It may be a little hard to find but the hotel gave excellent directions to the small elevator off of Via Toledo, a pedestrian only street, to access the hotel. Once the elevators doors open you will access a chic hotel with superior service, lovely rooms with good soundproofing given all of the activity on the streets just outside. The free breakfast was terrific each morning. Many good restaurants and shopping just a few steps outside. The port is only a 10 minute easy walk to hop on a ferry to Capri.

Small quiet property on the first floor of a larger building, located on a small piazza off a pedestrian street accessible to multiple stores and restaurants. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was varied. The room was very clean with several amenities. I highly suggested.

Modern hotel with spacious rooms. Almost brand new. Location is central to the port and tours. Only downside is getting there or picked up. Arrived on a Sunday evening and it was a zoo and our driver couldn’t get us close. Had to walk with my 81 year old father and two big bags. Staff is wonderful too. There is an elevator and you need a dime during the day but the staff gives you the money.

Hotel was such a gem. It's in a hot spot with walkable everything, dining, shopping, and activity tours. It's a bit difficult to find the hotel entrance so I recommend using Google maps (assuming you have internet or download offline map in advance) & then ask someone when map says you arrived or are near because you will likely not know entrance is hotel entrance. Looks rugged if not used to the graffiti environment of Naples which I wasn't from California but after getting used to the area. We realized it was great area...a favorite for tourist spot. Breakfast was included and staff spoke English so they were very helpful! I'm so glad we stayed here!! Highly recommend.
