Only good for a quick stay which is what 9hrs is for. People will still make noise (it is a capsule hotel afterall). If you’re a light sleeper make sure you prepare yourselves.
Great value for your money. You get a clean and comfortable bed. Your pod comes with a power outlet and two gaps in the walls to put your phone or glasses. The lockers provided are quite spacious; you can fit two carry-on suitcases and some tote bags or your shoes. They provide you with earplugs, which I did not need as the day I stayed, everyone was very respectful and quiet.
However, all of the showers in the women's section had black mold and the heating of the water in the showers was not consistent. After picking the temperature you wanted, you will get bursts of boiling hot water followed by bursts of freezing cold water before going back to its original temperature. It was quite unpleasant. You are also not allowed to drop off your luggage before your check-in time, so if you don't want to carry your luggage around with you all day, you will have to find coin lockers outside of the capsule hotels to store them.
Very limited amenities compared to other Japanese hotels of same price and caliber - pajamas and toothpaste/brush provided as well as shampoo and bodywash in shower, but no face soap or lotion which is pretty standard even for 1 star accomodations in Japan. It was convenient for my early flight, but I will likely avoid this hotel in the future and opt for one that has value reflected in the price. Staff were average and amicable but not particularly friendly. I had a far better experience at a less expensive capsule hotel.
I felt colder and colder as I slept at night, as if there were no air conditioner. The bath water was alternately hot and cold, and I felt colder and colder as I washed. I don't want to experience it again.
The staff were nice and the capsules were clean. Very convenient location for flying internationally the next day. Noise did travel through the doors from the bathroom area to the sleeping quarters. If you have your own pillow, use that, unless you enjoy sleeping on a hard, lumpy one.
