The staff was so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the charm of this resort and that it wasn’t overly crowded with people. There were good restaurants that were walkable from the property. The pools left a little to be desired and both the slides were out of order for our entire stay. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely go back. It was probably a little expensive for the overall age and condition of the property but again it was a great vacation.

Property is away from the major tourism so is quiet and grounds are lovely. Limited dining within walking distance. Very nice if you want to relax by a small private beach and nice pool. They were great at arranging tours.

My husband needed to get an antibiotic and we were able to see a physician at LiveWell and get the antibiotic at a pharmacy all within one hour and about 2 blocks from our hotel rooom - amazing and so appreciated.

The main thing that stood out about the Sandyport Resort was the friendliness of the staff. Everyone greeted you with a smile. The resort was well looked after and clean. It’s well located too, being only 15 minutes from the airport, but far enough away not to be bothered by any noise. It’s also part of a wider resort area which includes multiple restaurants and bars, all within easy walking distance. The children loved the amenities provided: the direct access to the beach, the swimming pools and water slides, the tennis court and the ponds full of fish to admire.

A wonderful oasis away from the madness of downtown Nassau. So peaceful and serene. Dining around the property, while not abundant, was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful and always greeted us with a smile. In particular- Sarah at activities desk, Bass and MJ at the conch shack, Tanya for the amazing fresh conch experience and the housekeeping staff. Only thing that would really lift this place up would be a few kayaks and paddle boards for use in the lagoon. But this property is the place to be in Nassau for relaxation.

Room was well used in that there was wear and tear. Very clean. Refrigerator worked well. 2 bottles of water daily. Friendly staff. Quiet and family centered with small pools, bay/beach access easily. It’s next to residences so it’s a neighborhood, not a party. Decent food and options.

Frustrating customer service experience

We checked in at 9pm and realized our unit did not have WiFi as it was located far from the lobby. I called reception at 10pm and was told they would try to reset the router. When it didn’t work, I called back and the receptionist said she would put my name down for another room tomorrow. The next morning, I stopped by the reception at 9am - I was told a technician was on his way to fix the WiFi but if it didn’t work I could switch the room. I called again at 11am. This time I was told that the hotel was sold out and they didn’t have another room but the technician was on his way. I waited and called back 30min later. Since I had seen people check out, I asked for another room again. At 12pm, The receptionist called back and told me the technician was on his way so I told her I would wait 15min then we would need to switch the room. Finally at 12.45pm, the receptionist called back saying that another room opened up. I packed our stuff and went to the lobby to pick up keys - it was 1pm. What took 4 hours, 3 trips to the reception and 7 phone calls could have been completely avoided.

We deliberately chose the best accommodation category here, a suite with direct access to the lagoon beach. For comparison sake , this cost us more per day than a room at The Reef Atlantis , which we stayed in the previous week. When comparing the two we were hugely disappointed. On the surface the suite looked perfect, a large light and airy living room with a separate large bedroom. However it was very much style over substance. A towel rail fell off the wall the minute I tried to use it, the water pressure in the shower was dreadful and we had to remake the bed every day because of the poor standard of bed linen. In a similar vein, the lagoon beach appeared very inviting, its shallow water looked ideal for young children to safely play. . However the water was much more murky then appears in some of the promotional photos and walking around the Marina there were distinct sewage smells coming from the lagoon. So much so that we didn’t go in to the lagoon after that and I certainly wouldn’t have let a child of mine play in it. Our disappointment continued in the restaurant. My day one breakfast omelette was so badly made, overcooked and rubbery. On day two I ordered eggs benedict which arrived smothered in mustard sauce! On reflection I should have sent it back, but at the time this felt churlish. We didn’t eat in the restaurant after that. Our hearts went out to the young lady serving breakfast, who was continually apologizing for the slow service, but management seemed

beautiful property, lovely pool and lounge chairs scattered around the property. Loved the kitchenette option and our nice little porch with table and chairs. Location on the island was quiet away from the busy Nasseau downtown. Easy to catch the local bus too.

A wonderful place to stay. Blue blue water... delightful staff... wonderful on-premise breakfast and lunch. 80 degrees every day... Snorkeling trips available. Beach front on premises... Excellent gold courses nearby. Several really good restaurants are walkable. Secutiy on duty. Very safe.
