I booked the wrong day. Even though the hotel was sold out, the manager found me a room. Even better, they honored the low rate for Sunday night on my reservation even though Saturday night was at a higher rate. They could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The hotel is recently renovated and looks great.

The staff at this hotel was the most friendly and helpful of any we met in a dozen hotels on our 3-week road trip. The hotel is lovely, clean and convenient to Yale. But the people at the front desk make it even better.

Mixed experience

The Marriott Courtyard is a hotel a few blocks away from the Yale Bookstore in New Haven. Staying there was a mixed experience. The front desk staff were friendly. Only one of two elevators was working while I was at the hotel. There was no maid service in the two days I stayed at the hotel. There was a construction site right by the hotel that you had to walk by to access the hotel. All in all, not the typical enjoyable stay you would have at a Marriott.

SOO NOISY!! Can’t sleep

It is so unbelievably noisy facing the street. Almost as if the windows don’t exist, and we’re on the 4th floor. If you want to sleep, stay away. Unfortunately this problem can make you overlook all the okay things in the room.
