The apartment my fiancé and I stayed in was basic at best. The listing was not what is pictured. The address given lead us initially to a homeless shelter which is crazy and within the body of the check in instructions the owner mentioned the property address change. Unable to reach the owner and had to contact Vrbo customer services. The new address is in a heavily populated community with traffic and parking issues. Subway is within walking distance. It was described as a newly renovated space but clearly lived in and the tenants were on vacation. While the bedrooms and linens were clean, you are only given two towels per room. Water pressure sucked and floors needed to be mopped. Living room is extremely small, no curtains, and furniture weathered and stained. In all, the property served its purpose and happy the heat worked as it was the coldest day of the year. The listing is deceiving, read ALL the reviews and set your expectations low if you opt to choose this property.

The apartment was very good we enjoy but I don’t like how lie about the location. In the booking is showing the apartment in the nice place but when I requested the address to the host she sent a different address in Wyckoff Ave. Is a different location. She said recently moved. Why is not update the address in Vrbo. The beds are in wood and when do you moved is so noise. Please be more honest with the clients.

It was a great place conveniently located in Bushwick. They did switch apts on us and this was a little further from my son but worked fine with public transportation . Britney was very responsive and we appreciated the early check in.

The host changed the address/location a few days before we arrived. When we got there the door code did not work and they did not respond. I contacted VRBO help and was able to get a refund and find an alternative place to stay. If you are considering this rental please read back in the reviews. This is a multi location rental management listing with reliability issues.

The property was nice and clean and worked well for our purposes. That being said, it seems as though the owner has several similar units and ours was not the one pictured. It was very similar, with similar furniture and the same room and bathroom count, but it was not the same. There were also some amenities listed that didn't exist (elevator, backyard, roof deck with stunning city view, and laundry room spin bike) - at least we did not see any of that.

Wonderful host with a comfortable and clean apartment. Perfect accommodation and location for an introduction and family member move to Brooklyn. Excellent food at La Pausa Coffee across the street for breakfast lunch and early evening drink, and Food Bazaar Supermarket two blocks away.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Read the other reviews that are very consistent with this story. Address sent was a homeless shelter. Property description had a different address. They then sent us 2 more addresses, and we went a total of 4 places in Brooklyn before getting to an open place 2 hours after arriving. Property manager was on a “camping trip” and wouldn’t pick up the phone but texted and messaged just fine after I called vrbo. This is not a legit address or listing and VRBO should be taking this down and this person should get banned from listing on the platform as they are consistently playing a shell game with properties. Did I mention one of the addresses listed had a family that LIVED in the apartment? We walked in on a family with information given to us in a vrbo listing….how could they even have that info?After that they had the audacity to ask if I could leave early so they could get a cleaner in the apartment, OR they could let me leave late if I didn’t leave a review. In summary, extremely sketchy. Avoid at all costs.

Caution! What you see here is not what you get. The photos & descriptions for “Beautiful Bushwick Oasis” are for a property on Stanhope St. where I stayed in 2022, so I rebooked in June ’25 for a stay last week. 3 days before arrival a notice from VRBO showed the address of my rental as on Bogart St, which I learned is actually a migrant shelter. (Upon arrival in NYC, I personally went there to check.) Oddly, the map on the same message indicated yet a different location on Himrod & Knickerbocker. Alarmed, I texted the property manager. 24 hours later I got notice of an address change to a flat on noisy Wyckoff Ave (7 blocks from Stanhope) above a grungy storefront directly on top of the L subway line. The “Oasis” listing which I had booked states “The building has an elevator, backyard, roof deck with stunning city view and laundry room, & a spin bike.” Not one of these is found in the Wyckoff flat. The 20-step walk-up was a problem for my mobility-challenged husband, & the rooms, although clean, were smaller & more spartanly appointed than the photos. Here is the manager’s “reasoning” just before our arrival: “Please be advised that we VERY recently had to move this Stanhope listing to a different 2 bedroom apartment- you will be among our very first guests! This unit is similar sized, newernicer”. This can’t be true, as at least 8 published reviews on VRBO of “Beautiful Bushwick Oasis” starting in April also mention a last-minute switch to this inferior unit. Beware.

Somebody really dropped the ball here. I was not emailed the information for the property and did not realize the two addresses given on Expedia had nothing to do with the actual location. By the time we were called back and given the actual location we could not even enjoy our room because it was not cleaned from previous guests and now we had to wait while it was cleaned. All that I received for compensation was no additional fee for late check out.

Brittany must have multiple listings and it seems like they might not be good at keeping them organized. I booked this location which the driving directions stated they were on a specific street. When I got the check in instructions days before my trip it stated a whole new street that looked like a hotel address. I messaged Brittany but had to get VRBO customer service involved to get Brittany to reply to my message. They told me that the apartment pictured was no longer available and then sent me an address to a 3rd apartment on a new street different than the check in address and the driving directions. Huh? The apartment we ended up with was not pictured but was still nice. Luckily we got in okay and everything was clean and orderly, but this check in process was a nightmare!

The place itself was fine and appeared similar to actual place on the “Beautiful Bushwick Oasis” posting. The host informed us of the address switch the day before we arrived to New York for our trip and switch us to another apartment at 287 Wyckoff Avenue. The location was still in bushwick, but not close to the original location at 19 Bogart Street in Brooklyn. The Wyckoff apt was furnished with the same IKEA style furniture, but based off the pics- it seemed slightly smaller and not as nice as the one advertised.During our trip, the apt was easy enough to access using the key or via the access codes. This apt was thankfully close to the subway as that was a factor in us booking the original place, so we were glad the switch-up didn’t make getting around more difficultFYI, the Wyckoff apt has 2 bedrooms each with queen beds, a couch, one bathroom, and a small kitchen. The rooms seemed smaller than the ones from the original posting, but at least there were AC units in every room. Fair warning about the beds- the mattresses are loud af if you move around and are not the most comfortable.The bathroom was okay, but the shower is finicky trying to adjust the cold and hot water. Also, the neighbors upstairs are super loud early mornings and late at night, so good luck you’re a light sleeper! Overall- the Wyckoff apt did the job (a place to sleep and get ready for the day), but I was expecting better considering the price we paid for the 5 days we stayed here.
