Not up to Embassy Suites standards

The outlets in our room by the bed did not work and we didn't realize until we woke up and found that nothing was charged overnight the first night. Then we had to plug in our phones in the bathroom. We reported the issue and a maintenance person came the 2nd night. He said they would fix it the next morning but never bothered to come by or let us know. The breakfast area is extremely croweded. Omelet was not fully cooked because one person had to fill so many orders. Elevators almost never came so we walked up and down 5 flights each time. Our total for 3 nights was over $1250. I would expect a much better experience at those rates.

We absolutely love the happy hour Embassy provides! The bartenders Nika and Nico were absolutely fantastic. They remembered our drinks each evening and we even stopped back at the lobby bar to socialize with them. They personable and fun!

I had such a wonderful time at this hotel! Right from the start, I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff at the front desk. Lay and Adam, the two busboys, made us feel instantly welcome, which was so lovely. The front desk staff was courteous and offered plenty of enjoyable activities. I really appreciated the free happy hour they hosted every day — such a nice touch! The breakfast was tasty, though the seating area was a bit snug; still, guests were friendly and courteous, leaving enough space for others swiftly. A special highlight was the thoughtful gesture of complimentary wine and snacks from Mercedes, who I believe is a manager there. Asking, and receiving, was a kind and unexpected surprise that I truly appreciated. Overall, this is definitely a hotel I’d love to stay at again, and I look forward to returning!

Wonderful stay in NYC!

Very pleased with the location and access to transportation. The staff is amazing! Breakfast is very good but get there no later than 9:00 to avoid over-crowding.

We had a great stay here! Other than waiting on the elevators for a while @ times….the beds & pillows were comfortable! We had great breakfasts each am with lots of food to choose from & the best ordered omelets (so yummy). We were able to start our day with a great breakfast! Walk our way around Manhattan-most places were about a 20-40 min walk from there! Loved that! Came back to get ready for the evening events planned & had a “happy hour” drink or 2 with a ticket each day & some small snacks! Great way to transition our day & have a bit of a break & some down time. They even had an outdoor movie you could attend in the afternoon! Most of the staff were friendly & offered great service!! If we should ever find ourselves back in NYC we would definitely stay here again!!

We did not appreciate the Urban Destination assessment after we had paid for our stay. No additional explanation was provided. The staff member was not welcoming or attentive. In addition, one bar employee was inconsistent when charging for the same drink.

Perfect location! We walked to the Broadway shows, Central Park, Empire State, Circle Line boat cruises, Rockefeller Center, and Museums, Everything was reachable on foot. Staff was excellent...Kevin at the breakfasts was top notch! Room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Bring good walking shoes! We will stay again! Chris

The hotel’s location is excellent—just a short walk to major tourist spots, which made sightseeing easy. Breakfast was solid, and the bar credit was a nice perk. However, the room was small and lacked basic amenities like a hair dryer, ironing board, and dresser. The afternoon reception was underwhelming compared to other Embassy Suites I’ve stayed at.

Centrally located but the room was at mezaninne level with a feel of being right next to a mechanical room or basement - that was my window view. The dinning area is tiny and decayed. Again, it is my perception that Expedia discounts get you to the less desirable inventory and it is not the first time I’ve expressed this. I love the App but I am moving on to making direct reservations with the brands and compare value.
