The hotel is practically central to everything in New York - it is next door to Grand Central station and still very quiet. Courteous staff, amazing foyer and brilliant setting. The room is spacious which is not known for hotels in New York and also.very clean but it needs a bit of TLC in my opinion.

Location. Connects to everything. You can stay in Times Square and be connected but if you don’t want all the noise and light Grand Central is the best. Reasonable price and quiet. Yes there is more luxurious places or exciting but this is the place where you can be comfortable and let the city be the focus.

Room was high on style, low on function. I want a shower that is easy and obvious to turn on and gets hot. Not struggle to turn on and let the water run for 10 minutes before there’s any heat. I want lights that easily and obviously turn off and on. Not studying the panel for five minutes before the lights go on or the bathroom light repeatedly & mysteriously turning on throughout the night. (I felt like I was in a bad I Love Lucy episode). I called the front desk. They suggested I close the door — the bathroom door was frosted glass. Then they offered to send up an engineer. (No thank you at 1:00am). Lastly, no full length mirror to see how put together (or not) I am after my disturbed night and before I head out the door. Truly, the fixtures & switches were very high style but completely missed the point and didn’t work worth a darn!
