Wonderful staff. It could have been warmer but at least they brought a small electric heating to supplement the very windy and cold climate. Overall, I would return to this hotel with a great coffee cafe.

Excellent, clean room with extremely helpful staff. Location is right next to the 6 Train and a Starbucks is next to that, and lots of local spots for dinner, late night snacks and drinks for the room. We’ve stayed here nearly a dozen times and have made it a home away from home.

Had some issues here. It is a converted building, the first room we were given the ac didn’t work so we were moved. The second room wasn’t as good with no window seat. The room was very small with not enough room to store large cases. The weekend nights we stayed there were constant loud noises and sirens from police vehicles. There is a small cafe on ground flooring serving mainly hot drinks and small amount of food. There is a 7 Eleven within a 5 minute walk. HGU is close to the 33 St entrance of the subway. It is also walking distance to Empire State Building.

The room was nice and clean, but for a 5 days stay they only cleaned our room after the first day. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice to know. The mattress and pillows were not great. But the service was good and when our flight was cancelled and we needed to stay another night, they were accommodating.

I do not think this hotel should be part of Hotels.com list . The minute I got in I realized it was a big mistake, the TV was not working , maintenance men had to come in 3 different times. No heat, the thermostat was broken. I was so frustrated, my night was ruined. It was supposed be a nice night out in the city. But this establishment is sham. I feel I was robbed . I’m asking respectfully to reimburse me and please remove this hotel from your list.

The room was clean, cozy, and surprisingly fairly quiet for being in midtown NYC! The bathroom was chic with a lovely shower. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Location was perfect. This is the only hotel I have ever stayed in that did not have an option for coffee in the room though, and that would certainly make it better.
