I booked 2 rooms with king beds. Upon check in they didn’t bother to tell me (until I asked) that they didn’t have the second king room and decided to give me 2 double beds. Not what I wanted or paid for.

The hotel and room were cute. The doorway and lobby were decorated for Christmas. The manager and clerks were all very helpful and attentive. The neighborhood was walking distance to many major attractions: Bryant Park, Empire State, Times Square, radio city music hall, Rockefeller center, and LOTS of shopping and restaurants or pubs. I wasn’t thrilled that one of the elevators broke down and everyone was fighting for space in the one elevator that worked. It wouldn’t have been a problem except for one group that refused to make space and I had to force myself on, which made one man very upset to the point that he yelled and berated me all the way to the first floor. I will say that the hotel staff and the manager made things right for me. It was not the hotel’s fault that this guest acted poorly. On a positive note aside from that incident I plan to return to New York in spring.

The location is fantastic! You can walk to so many sites in NYC. We loved how easy it was to get places. Sometimes there is a significant wait for an elevator because there are only 2 for 21 floors so plan timing accordingly.

Upon arrival only one elevator was working so it took a while to get to our room. Day 2 the same thing. We ended up checking out early due to an emergency but had received a notice from the hotel that they would be shutting off the water overnight. The proximity to attractions is great, but be ready to hear traffic noise all night long.

The room is a NYC room, a little small but it has everything you need. It might be tight for 4 people, but it was good for 3 (2 adults and 1 kid). The room was clean when we got there. The staff was very nice! Specially with the Thanksgiving crowd. The valet was easy and fast to get our car back. The shower had GREAT pressure! Which was nice after standing at the TODAY show and walking all around!

The location is great but the rooms are tiny. The elevator took forever and for half our trip one didn’t work. Some waited 25 minutes+ to get on an elevator. The shower water was cold for like 3 days. Others also complained of no hot water. I would not stay here again.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Check in was quick, clean lobby. Room was super clean and newly renovated. Nice touches such as walk-in shower, full size shower amenities and large LED mirror. Room was very cozy.

Staff was lovely, and the location is excellent, but during our stay one of the two elevators was out of service for two days, so getting up and down from the room to the lobby could take up to 15 mins. Also, one of the nights they shut off the water for maintenance issues. I will not stay here again.

This WAS a 5 star review. Location is great, room was small but adequate. Other than slamming doors, a quiet hotel. DO NOT book a airport shuttle with them. They booked the wrong date and therefore we had no ride. They never fessed up to the mistake. They hired us a hoochi mama taxi who tried to scam us...didn't even try to help us in getting our luggage from the trunk. SHAME ON HILTON...and to boot, after checking, their $70 transfer wa the same price as UBER.

There was only one working elevator and our room was on the 19th floor so that was an issue. Otherwise the staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and quiet. It’s a great New York location. I didn’t know of any breakfast available at the hotel.
