You should be clear about which water is complimentary in the room. I asked for extra towels twice and they never arrived. The door frame around the bathroom was cracked. The carpet has too many visible stains. There was hair in my bed upon the first day of removing the covers. Water wasn’t replenished on the second day.

Hotel was in a good location for walking and also transportation. Rooms were spacious and clean , however bathrooms were small - not a big issue for us. In terms of NY - it is relatively quiet although the traffic noise can be loud from Madison Av so you may need ear pods. Gym was not well enough equipped for the amount of guests . We were given one bottle of water on the first night per guest and some coffee pods- once these were finished you had to pay for replacement - I’ve never been in a hotel before where the water and coffee hasn’t been replenished and I’ve never been in a hotel that charges such a high destination tax and pretty expensive nightly rates so the two don’t really marry up . Bar closes at 22:00 which is likely when most people are returning after a day of exploring . Staff were very good. All in all , I would return to AKA Nomad but I do think for guest satisfaction the issue around water and coffee pods is a very simple one to address to ensure guests return as the hotel really has no other amineties that would make me say Wow !
