This was good enough for a short 2-night stay. Clean and in a good location. The room wasn't aesthetically that pleasing, quite dingy feeling but had what I needed and the point of NYC is not to be sitting in your room anyways. Seemed like only one elevator was actually in-use, but I stayed on the second floor so using the stairs wasn't a huge deal. Staff was okay, no complaints, but not the level of hospitality I normally experience. If you leave your bags with them before or after checkout, just note that they go into a hallway that is not secure and with no system for them to actually keep track of what belongs to each person. I did opt to leave my bags anyways and it was fine.
