Most of the staff were helpful and polite. The room was big enough for just me. A/C wasn’t as loud as some reviews said, but just might be me. Close to Times Square, walked to UN and Central Park in about 20 minutes. Some of my floormates were noisy as all hell, but I was able to get sleep most of the week I was there. Otherwise, cool building and not far from where I needed to be late at night. Great for theatre lovers as most are within a five minute walk!

Hotel St. James has become a favorite of mine within this past year. It offers a basic charm with original architecture, and the front desk managers Joey and Carlos serve with cheer. The mattresses were a bit harder than what we prefer, but I managed to sleep! The hotel's location is very convenient and walkable to eateries and theaters.

The staff was very friendly and amazing. The room was small, but the goal was not to be in the room. NO bedbugs, insects, or vermin. Bathroom was clean. My ONLY negative was that there wasn't a mini fridge to keep water/leftovers/bakery cold. The location is great and so were the people. Took us about 4 minutes to walk to the Richard Rogers Theater. About a 1 min walk to Times Square.

CHARM of a hotel! No frill but cozy, clean, comfortable and friendly. Carlos at the front desk made us feel at home! The house keeper was sweet, kind and did little things to be thoughtful of us. We walked to 3 plays. Lots of dinning options. We walked to Rockefeller and Central Park. Short walk to subways or bus. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Hotel St. James was walkable to everything! It is so close to Times Square, Broadway, Central Park and the Empire State Building. The room was immaculate. The street was a bit noisy but we were told that upon check in. That was appreciated. Our room wasn’t exactly how we imagined it from the photos, but at the end of the day, cleanliness is what matters. Our highlight was Joey at the front desk. He greeted us with a smile and his energy was infectious. He welcomed us with many suggestions, including what to do on a rainy day. He was a delight.

The room was clean and the staff was polite. The elevators were slow. The room wasn’t carpeted which was unusual. The bathroom was nice with the exception there was no area around the sink to place toiletries. I had to store them on the windowsill next to the toilet. There were too few power outlets and no USB ports.
