This is an older property but great location and walkable to several great dining spots, theaters, other notable NYC attractions. There is no convenient parking and would not recommend for those needing ADA accessibility.

We love it here so much ~ it has become our home away from home every time we get to come to the big apple. Tucked away in the greatest little Broadway bubble, seconds from Times Square, & staffed with the kindest people, Hotel St James is our only choice when we return to NYC.

This is a budget friendly hotel - basic room. The location is great just a few blocks from time square. The room was clean but very basic. If you want just a room to sleep in then this is your place. No microwave, fridge or coffee maker in the regular room. If you want these items you need to upgrade.

I had a wonderful stay at the St. James Hotel in NYC! The location is absolutely on point—just steps from Times Square and close to everything we wanted to see. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. They made check-in smooth and were always ready with a smile and great recommendations

Absolutely adore the property for its location in the capital of the world, steps away from times square. Please note, it is a budget venue however the location cannot be more important if you want to explore Manhattan and the rest of the downtown on your own using public transport, which is what I did..

The front desk gentleman was fantastic! True New York charm. It was also nice to take advantage of the free luggage storage after checkout. The room was huge. Only thing was the AC was a window unit and across the street is an office building, so you either had to close the blinds and block the AC or potentially have people look in your window.

Overall our experience was excellent. The location is perfect. We were able to walk to all our plays. The only downside was the noise. New York city never sleeps is true! We had a street side room and it was loud all night. We would definitely go back, but we would ask for a room that is not on the street.

The room and whole building were super clean, multiple food options across the street as well as directly next door, the gentleman who checked us in was super kind, and it was perfect walking distance from Radio City Music Hall. (we were in town for a concert) Would absolutely stay here again!

For Times Square, Manhattan, a fair balance between price and what the hotel offers. Property is old, dated, but kept clean and staff is professional and courteous. Plugs in the room did not worked. Told the front desk and the issue was solved upon our return.
