Location was awesome. Carpet in the room was dated. Everything else acceptable for the pricepoint. Breakfast buffet was overpriced $75 for our stay between xmas and new years, but there were other options. Elevators were not all functioning and for such a large hotel you need all elevators. A couple of times we waited over 15 mins to get down from the 12th flooor (out of 46 Floors)

The staff at The Park Lane make the entire hotel what it is. Of course the location is perfection- being situated between the Ritz and the Plaza with Central Park right across the street. The joy to be found is with the many staff members that make every encounter just a little bit more special and makes up for the cold rooms and faulty HVAC systems. Dinning was great and incredibly fresh with fair prices. Our wait staff at Calvert's is a magical woman who exudes grace and care. She made my daughter's birthday extra special and ensured that every visit to the resturant was perfect. From Migdalia, Sam and Bady in dining to Paulo and Victor in maintenance to Tony and the entire inform dinning team - everyone was lovely. Kenneth started off our trip with care for our belonging and quickly become a friend. While Zara went over and beyond to ensure she could secure our Christmas Day reservations!

The receptionist was lovely and the room was spacious and with a beautiful view of Central Park; however the room was very dusty and very outdated. We tried to eat breakfast at the Darling, the place was packed and the waiter was in such a terrible mood dropping the plates so loudly, we went to calpvert and although it was quiet the service was so slow. It took ages to be seated and to order. The worst part was the elevators, there were 6 of them but seemed only two were working.

Here’s a polished, concise rewrite with a clear and professional tone while keeping your points strong: Pros: The only real positive is the location—conveniently situated directly across from Central Park. Cons: Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. The hotel feels dated and is clearly in need of renovation. Service was poor and, at times, outright rude. During check-in, I asked about dining options and was abruptly told to speak with the concierge, who was nowhere to be found. After waiting more than 10 minutes, I gave up and left. The room offered virtually no storage. This was a double queen room with no dresser and a very small closet that had only four hangers (see photos). Water service was also inconvenient. Guests are given two bottles and expected to refill them, yet there are only three refill stations in a 46-floor hotel. One of those stations was on the rooftop and closed during my stay. I would not recommend staying here and wish I had known this before booking. For the price, there are far better options available elsewhere.

The room was extremely loud at night. Traffic and emergency vehicles, people and the room heat woke us up on and off all three nights. 5th floor is too low. Views were nice but we didn’t realize how awful the noise would be. Room heater sounded like a train coming through the room whenever it clicked on.

Hotel has a fabulous location, overlooking Central Park. Elevators were a problem. It seemed like only two were working and it took 30 minutes to get in an elevator that wasn’t completely full. Stairs weren’t an option with luggage. Rooms were clean, but for the price point I would’ve expected better lighting (so dark even when three lights were on), in room coffee machines, toiletries like q-tips, cotton balls, etc. Bathrooms did not have fans so mirrors fogged up immediately. In lobby coffee shop hours were very limited, but there were several local coffee shops nearby. Staff was very friendly, especially bell staff and concierge. Overall a good stay.
