2/10 Terrible

Cyril the manager was fantastic. The breakfast was ok. The rest was garbage. Apparently the building houses 2 hotel chains, Residence Inn and Marriott. We arrived 20 minutes before our check in and were directed to the “Bistro” on the 3rd floor. There was only one elevator working in the 65 floor building so we had to get in a long line to get to 3. Once there, the food was on the same level as skating rink food. We then went back downstairs to check in at 4 and were told that the cleaners hadn’t indicated that the rooms were ready so we had to wait a “few minutes”. Everyone else who was checking in also had to wait and there were only 4 chairs so everyone else had to sit on the floor. We sat on the floor for AN HOUR. Once the room was ready everyone waited in line to get in the one elevator that was working. They lost my son’s backpack and didn’t care. Hotel was run down and shabby. Throughout the weekend there was a variation on how many of the four elevators were working, and 4 for a 65 floor building is already insufficient.
Location was close to Times Square.
I will never stay here again.
