The room was very rundown and not entirely clean. We did not have hot water or air con/heat. There were no fixtures as far as a desk, microwave, mini fridge, or even a safe. The elevators were very slow and staircase was a fall hazard.

The security was terrible; they allowed a random crazed woman to enter 9/F to knock on guests doors demanding to be let in. I had to call front desk to send up security to remove the woman. Their lifts are also terrible, allowing housekeeping to use one of the guest lifts Asa service plight during morning rush hours, resulting in long waits. They lis charged $3 per piece for storing luggage for a few hours after check-out. And despite the above they have the gall to charge $15 (plus taxes) per day as a « facility fee » which was not made clear to guests upon check-in or check-out. One may legitimately query « what facility »? Terrible hotel - don’t stay there!

There was no central air, only a portable fan. When I said something on Saturday morning, they said someone would take a look and fix, later that evening it still wasn't fixed. I was told that they would take $149 off of the bill for facilities fee, but that never happened. Originally was told when I reserved the room that it would be $1120 payment at hotel, but my bank account was originally charged $1200, and then adusted to less than that but more than the $1120. If you take the $149 off, I should have been charged under $1000, but that never happened. Tried calling the hotel admin and can't leave a message because the voicemail was full. This hotel is a total scam.

We booked the premium room for 8 nights. When we booked the premium room, we expected two functional twin beds and one queen. The queen bed was fine, but the side with the twin beds was less than ideal. The top bunk seemed flimsy and felt as if it would break if someone tried to get on. We ended up putting two people on the queen bed and one on the bottom bunk, not wanting to risk breaking the bed, leading to us losing our $400 security deposit. Concerning the staff, the cleaning staff was super friendly and accommodating, as we only needed towel and trash service most days, getting full room services only a couple times. Other than that, other staff at the hotel were ok, nothing to highlight. The general condition of the hotel was sad to see; the light outside our room was hanging off. Some images of the rooms online make the rooms seem nicer and cleaner, but generally, our room was dirty and in poor condition. This could be that our room is an older one; regardless, the air conditioning unit was broken, the towel rack above the bathroom was flimsy and felt like it was about to fall, and part of the cabinet under the sink was also detached and starting to break. As for the location, it was very convenient as it’s right in Times Square, so if you’re looking for a quiet place this isn’t for you. We enjoyed being close to everything from food, shops, public transportation, and Broadway destinations. Overall, the hotel itself was underwhelming, but great location in NYC
Broken light outside room
Flimsy towel rack
Broken cabinet
Hair found in the room from “clean”towels?(not ours we were three guys with hair way shorter)

First and foremost the windows are paperthin so you hear every noise amplified in the room. Workers started something around 2 AM to 3 AM both nights I was there… No sleep! The hallways were trash with the carpet ripped and obviously they have not done renovation or at least a decade… No amenities and the place was pretty much Third World poverty ridden!

There were cockroaches in our room for the first night we got there, we alerted the staff and the hotel manager told us he’d move our room and ordered someone from maintenance to come and kill the cockroach. Less than 48 hours later, there were 3 cockroaches in our room again and the reception at night had a huge attitude, and laughed when we suggested he send someone to deal with it. He suggested bug spray although said he could not pay for this as he had no money which was odd. This is despite the spray being toxic without the proper ventilation or equipment. He was obnoxious and rude and proceeded to say that the only room he’d be able to offer us is one that cannot be locked as the key cards are inoperable. We were given a new room after 3 more cockroaches were seen, we were told ‘it’s New York’ cockroaches are everywhere; we felt gaslight and there were no other efforts to put the customer first. We were then woken up abruptly after a difficult evening by the staff outside our door very impatient with pest control, despite earlier gaslighting us into it not being a pest issue. The new room was better in every regard and it was clear that they put us in a room that was inhospitable for the sake of saving themselves money. We did not get an apology by any of the members of staff there and although we were slightly compensated there were no further efforts to make amends. I recommend paying more and going to a better hotel.

This place is kind of a dump but if you want a cheap place near Times Square, but not all that cheap, it's not bad. Just not very well maintained. A little bit of attention to fixing some things that were kind of dirty/nasty would have gone a long way. There was just one ice machine and it broke while there. The other ice machines had not been operational for a long time. Great location close to Times Square, but that's about it. Ask for a low floor because elevators were very difficult to operate.

In the email we received upon reservation we were merely notified there is a mandatory deposit. What they didn't tell us was that the deposit has to be done by physical debit card. We had digital payment methods (Revolut, Iris, PayPal, etc.) and cash but they didn't accept it even though we had fully prepaid our stay. So we waited for 6 and a half hours (3pm check-in time, we didn't get it in until 9:30pm). I explained the manager my wife is 5 months pregnant but he said it's their policy. They sent us to get 2 cards of 100€, 200€ in total only to decline the card they suggested. No humanity, no logic in this. We were seriously thinking we will stay homeless for two nights since we couldn't afford another place with our budget.. So the conclusions are for whoever is reading this.
