The digital key card had consistent issues. Got locked out of our room 3 times one at 12:30 in the morning which is extremely inconvenient. There was also issues with the heating and we stayed in the winter (It was 10 degrees) so our room was freezing the heat was completely off!!! Which is completely unsafe and uncomfortable in that kind of weather. If you want a stress free visit to NY do NOT book here. I also asked the front desk for the managers number after seeing reviews that other people had issues getting in contact with the hotel and no one had contact info for the manager. You’d think the staff should be able to contact the manager. I’m gonna continue to call the front desk even though they never answer in hopes of speaking with a manager about a refund. This hotel is poorly run. Unsatisfied with my stay.

Our toilet didn't flush, we noticed immediately after check-in. Went out to dinner and told the "front desk" (man with a laptop downstairs, I note this because it seemed no one worked at this hotel) the situation to which he told me he would handle. We returned from dinner and the toilet still didn't work. When I brought this to his attention he told me there was nothing he could do and no other rooms were available. This place is a joke, don't stay here.

I don't review much, but this one deserved it. Pros: Some of the night staff were very kind and the rooms were attractive. Cons: 1) Location - this hotel seems to be on the edge of a gentrified area. There are some good restaurants, but I definitely did not feel safe walking at night. Also, it is located in the Lower East Side. Prepare for a 20-30 minute subway ride one-way or an expensive Uber ride to see any of the main tourist attractions. 2) Noise - there is quite a bit of street noise because of the local bars. During the day there was a lot of construction noise which was very loud. 3) Cleanliness- first day the room was great and very clean. Second day they didn't clean the room despite their policy and I had to request towels and.my trash removed. Third day, I specifically requested the room be serviced and they did, but sprayed some awful deoderizer all over the bedding, which was very strange. It was a horrid, super cheap-smelling musk scent. It was so strong that I asked late at night to change rooms. They had one other room and it had the same scent and all the pillows smelled like old hair. I also woke up with a breakout on my face which I haven't had in 20 years. So I checked out early. My guess is they have some excellent cleaning staff and some cleaning staff that clearly cut corners. 4) Management was not honest. They promised a refund for the one night that I checked out early for all the hassle, but it never showed up. I would just recommend another hotel.

Excellent hotel in an excellent location. My room was clean and modern, everything was brand new. Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious balcony was a bonus and nice for hanging out on after walking the streets. Will definitely stay here again. Keyless entry was convenient!
