Room was incredibly clean. Hotel in general was spotless and seemed very well managed. Staff was friendly and I was happy to get a Hilton cookie and water. The hotel is actually attached to Penn Station so you don’t have to walk outside to get there. There is a parking garage attached as well but with covered sidewalk access. It seemed pretty full so it might not always be available. Overall, I highly recommend!

The system was down and no key cards could be issued. A courtesy call or text would have been a Carin approach to indicate when the issue was resolved with a key card ready for pick up. Instead one had to wait on line again, with new arrivals. A bit annoying, however I enjoyed the gateway access to Penn Station and Market. I felt safe. Overall, I enjoyed my solo experience!😎

I checked-in, got a room key, walk in to my room and realize that it is someone else’s room and I shouldn’t have been assigned this room, worst nightmare of any guest, Ooopsss, embarrassing! Went down and the staff smiled at each other, one made a comment to the other, “I told you so”, then I get a new room key assigned with no apologies, no explanation, ohhh got a free cookie, how nice! Go in to the new room, luckily it was an empty room this time, walk in to the shower, turn on the water, and realize there is no “Shower Gel”, wish there was a Room Service call button in the shower! Oh and yes, before I forget, there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom! Anyways, location is conveniently located so that’s why I would give it a bonus Star!

The good thing about the hotel is that it’s right across from the train station. So, it’s a fairly convenient and comparatively inexpensive way to visit NYC. The accommodations aren’t special. It’s the location. Be sure to have the front desk give you a parking validation if you’re driving. And don’t forget the cookie!
