Escape to this cozy cabin on 13 wooded acres. Designed for large groups and centrally located, it’s the perfect base for your next UP adventure. Winter in Newberry is magical, with opportunities for snowmobiling, snow‑shoeing, dog‑sledding, cross‑country skiing, and more. Then come back to the cabin to relax by the fire or unwind in our rustic wood-fired sauna, creating memories together that will last a lifetime.

Snowmobilers: Turn left out of the driveway. The road becomes a trail after 3.25 miles.

This is a UP cabin, so expect to possibly have some of the rustic experiences of a cabin. We professionally treat for bugs and pests but sometimes seasonally they still make an appearance.
During your stay at this cabin, you'll be within walking distance of Kaks Lake. You'll find features such as laundry facilities. The cabin includes amenities such as free WiFi and a kitchen.

Great stay

House is great with two living areas, great sleeping areas, sauna is fun. Plenty of parking. First day we road 2 miles west in CR to trail. Second day trailered 15 miles to trail head north of mcmillian. Two full baths.

The location was great. Secluded, yet not far from town. Newberry was not far away at all. The beds were very comfortable. The cabin was very user-friendly everything was easy to find. We enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard. Overall we had a very good time and would definitely go back.

Authentic VRBOs are the BEST VRBOs!

Our group loved our stay @ the Newberry UP Retreat! The house was cozy, comfortable and perfectly located for attractions we wanted to visit in the UP. We appreciated the history this house shared with us... and it is sooo quiet. This house made our trip to the UP a notch better-- thanks for keeping the character of the house, but updating it to accommodate the 7 of us.

Perfect UP getaway

We stayed here with two families (4 adults, 5 kids) and had a beautiful mix of exploring the UP and just hanging out at the house. The backyard fire pit made for awesome summer nights. The huge property was pure adventure for the kids. One piece of advice for summer guests: bring mosquito repellent!!!

Great place!
