We stayed in a spacious family room that comfortably accommodated our family, including our dog. The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Parking was available, which was great The hotel itself looked a bit worn in places, but for the price we paid, it offered great value. The location was excellent, and the service good. We didn’t get a chance to try the bar or restaurant, so can’t comment on those.

Budget hotel but as good as you need it to be. Clean, helpful staff, good parking. Didn’t eat there so can’t comment on breakfast. The street the hotel is on is run down however, and Whitley Bay town centre has its fair share of homelessness, troubled youths and failed businesses. The sea front area is lovely though.

Think we stayed in room 61 or 62 on the 2nd floor. Nice layout of the room, big bathroom. When we looked out of the window we could see St Mary's Lighghouse which was lovely. The window didn't close properly so there was a big draught blowing through, but the heating was on most of the night so I wasn't cold. I mentioned the problem to the receptionist who said she'd pass it on to the maintenance team. Cheap and cheerful hotel, stayed there 3 times this year already

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room I was in (#46) was spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower, although small was hot with strong waterflow. The single bed I used was very comfortable. It is close to the beach and public transport. However the lobby was a rundown and could do with a reno and there was no refrigerator in the room. I wouldn't normally choose this accommodation but as I was only there to visit my mother in hospital so I was out most of the day -it served it's purpose as a comfortable place to sleep.
