The room was clean to days inn standards. It was quiet. The room darkening curtains had holes so the light shone through all night. The bed was on a squeaky frame that made a noise with every single move all night long. Breakfast was decent

The Days Inn Wyndam in Middletown was a surprise hotel. It seems to have been recently renovated with new floors and paint. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is not too far from Newport attractions and easy to drive to those places. The surrounding area is not very walkable however, and the main road it's on is difficult to enter into as it is a main travel road and trafficked. The walls were a bit thin, but not too bad and the breakfast was fine, though the only hot food was a waffle maker, so I thought that was a little light on options. Overall, I'd say 4 stars, but given that Newport is so expensive, this was perfect for accessing the Naval base, downtown Newport and within budget.

It was a good hotel for the price! The staff is super friendly and very welcoming. The room I stayed in was overall good. Some of the issues that I had in my 2 week stay there were as follows: - the door latch was broken - the seal around the door wasn't great, could see the outside sidewalk looking at the bottom of the door. - the bed sheets had a stain on them - the bed sheets, while put back and made everyday, they were the same sheets for the entire stay. - the shower wasnt clean, I shed to be fair, but the shower could still be cleaned and i shouldnt see the hair everyday i took a shower. - the water pressure in the shower was very weak - the towels that i had were just folded back up and didnt get changed until i balled them up and put them near the trashcan by the front door. or when i asked for a new towel. these were the issues that i had, but still livable and in a good location.

our bathroom needed cleaning was not cleaned well. Floor was dirty old left over towels under sink from other guests. I mascara brush left behind and sink ledge was dirty and had dead ants. Area around toilet was dirty and not wiped up. Lock on door was not well installed and not very secure. Outside property was very neat.

Stayed here to attend my daughter’s ODS graduation. It looks recently redone. Everything was clean and smelled nice. I don’t normally stay in places with doors that open to the outside but, based on the reviews of others, I gave it a shot. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe. Nice place to stay only a mile or two from the Navy base.
