Comfortable hotel close to Clifton Hill

Comfortable hotel close to the somewhat touristy area of Clifton Hill. About 10 minute walk to Skylon and 15 to the Falls. Would be great for families given what the area offers for entertainment for kids in Clifton Hill. Maybe less suited to the solo traveller who wants a more quiet stay. Good breakfast, small gym and spacious, clean rooms.

The hotel was very clean and the room was as well. Very spacious room. The off site parking that was cheaper through the hotel was a little under a 5 minute walk, so not bad. We could have parked on site but it was more expensive. The Clifton hills area is very walkable! I would say 5 minute maybe 10 minute walk to the falls - very convenient! We stayed on the 7th floor and you could see the fireworks over the falls from the side elevator window.

The location was excellent near the WEGO blue line and family attactions. It is a steep downhill walk or uphill to return to the hotel on foot to view the falls. Can be noisy with the go carts across the streets and the walls with thin enough to hear the neighbors. There is no on sight restaurant for lunch or dinner, but there are plenty of eateries within walking distance. There is a breakfast buffet that doesn't cater to gluten or dairy free diets. Great view of the fireworks from the front facing rooms. The lobby doesn't have enough seating with many check-ins and check-outs all day. Cleaning of rooms are hit and miss. Put sign on door all day to return to uncleaned room.

We were 3 guests for this booking, but only 1 was able to check in due to A__ Ca_____ strike. Reviewing on behalf of the 1 guest who checked in, her overall feedback was good especially the location of the hotel. As for me, I find the hotel responsive/helpful to my messages/clarifications. I just hope Expedia will have the option to "book now pay later". Conversion fees can be avoided and I feel that I am in control of my bills/cards with "book now pay later" over the "book now pay at the hotel". Will consider booking again this hotel due to its reasonable rate and good location if I will be staying near Niagara falls.

Parking is very limited. Also the online ad said that it was free parking only to find out that its a $25 nightly fee. A basic complimentary breakfast buffet at any other simple hotel costs you 17.99 per person at this average place. Better off dinning in at McDonalds. On the first day, toilet in the room clogged up. Speedy room service gets three stars instead of two. Room was clean. Just not worth the money spent.
