Wonderful host!! He was super communicative and very helpful when we had questions. The view from the room was incredible and the bed comfortable enough. Two issues- one was the AC unit which decided on the second night to pour water into the room. Turns out the drain was backed up and it spilled water into the room and on electronics. We informed the host but were fine to keep it off until we checked out so as to not require someone making a maintenance call. That made for a hot night sleeping but nothing we couldn’t handle. The other concern was the washing machine, which was advertised as an appliance that could be used in the listing. You see, we were hiking the alps earlier in the week and would be packing light and needing to wash our clothes for the remainder of our trip. After discovering an error with the washer where it would not start (after a long time on YouTube trying to diagnose the issue) we abandoned the machine washed clothes idea and resolved to bring smelly the rest of the week. Certainly not something I will knock them for because I’m hopeful they’ll get it fixed for future dwellers. We didn’t bring this concern to the attention of the host because it was minor. Location was a little out of the main areas for tourists, but a quick walk to the tram at Carres stop means the rest of the city is within reach. I highly recommend staying here regardless of our little appliance snags. The hospitality of the host and his assistant made it all worthwhile!
