This place was a mixed bag. The main house was nicely decorated, with coffee, tea, cookies and cake available at all times. Breakfast was outstanding, and Joe was so gracious and amazing. Our room, however, was less than satisfactory. The room was cold, with no apparent means for heat. There was also a sewage smell, especially in the bathroom. Overall, it was ok, but we would probably not stay here again.

A beautiful old Inn that has been well looked after. Breakfast was in a beautiful room and the food and service were both excellent. We also appreciated the complimentary cookies and chocolates in the foyer along with the tea and coffee facilities. The not so good points were the strong smell outside from the piggery (?) which thankfully couldn't be smelled from inside the building. Also the walls are paper thin so we were kept up by our neighbours who turned up late and had their TV going. The toilet paper is incredibly thin and what you might expect from a much cheaper place.

At more than 250 years old, the BRI is showing a bit of wear around the edges, but remains elegant and comfortable. Our lovely suite (larger than our NYC apartment) was comfortable and well-appointed and the staff could not have been more friendly and attentive. its a;lso a beautiful corner of the world, with rolling, wooded hills and fine dining scattered across the countyrside.

Breakfast makes the difference.

Between a 3 and a 5! This is a mixed bag. Accommodation for after-hours arrival was terrific. Breakfast was a real treat! Breakfast: 5 ⭐️. Room was very basic. Small and sparsely furnished. No TV. No phone. WiFi not working. Comfortable bed. Bath also clean but very basic. Wash basin but no counter. Shower with curtain that lets water onto the floor. Room 3 ⭐️. But for one or two nights when not occupying the room much more than to sleep and wash-up, it is certainly serviceable. Would return for breakfast alone! Convenient to Lime Rock Park racetrack!

The Inn is on a lovely piece of property with trees, grass, flowers. The bathroom was beautiful, the bed was comfortable and there was a common area "living room" that had a fridge for guests to place things and a microwave. The pool is fabulous (though it could use some more chaise lounges, there were only 2). The breakfast was truly delicious, made to order every morning. Home made chocolate chip cookies are out for the taking and there are dvds to borrow if you want to watch t.v. There is no cable or roku, so if that is important to you, you may want to bring a laptop as there is internet and you can stream your own. Campbell Falls is very very close and stunning. There is also a good winery down the street which had some lovely wines. Overall, this was a perfect getaway.
