Brand New Luxury Beachfront Estate with pool on prestigious Banks RD

Welcome to Cricket Beach. This stunning new estate (completed Feb. 2025) is set on a Poponi Beach, a mile-long crescent of pink sand lapped by turquoise water. Cricket Beach has a lovely ocean-view heated infinity pool overlooking the beach (additional charge for pool heat). A short path (with no steps) brings you down to the beach palapa with an outdoor shower. A few yards further along the path brings you onto our spectacular beach. You will rarely see anyone on this quiet stretch of beach. And yet, a 5-minute walk along the sand will bring you to the boutique resort La Bougainvillea with its excellent restaurant and bar.

NOTE: A house is being built next door. Construction began in December of 2025.

Adjacent to the pool is our gazebo, furnished for both lounging and dining, which has a sink, a half bath, and gas grill. The outdoor dining area has seating for up to 8.

Cricket Beach consists of a 3 bedroom beachfront main house, a 1-bedroom beachfront guest cottage, and an additional detached bedroom suite for staff or teens beside the garage.

The centerpiece of the main house is the open-concept great room which enjoys sweeping views of beach and ocean. This room has a wall of glass doors that retract to let in the sea breeze. The great room has two sitting areas, one facing the ocean view and one facing a flat screen TV. The great room also hosts an ocean-view dining area with seating for up to six.

The luxurious island kitchen, finished in quarts and stainless steel, also enjoys the ocean view.

Adjacent to the great room is an office nook with a desk and chair and a half bath.

The Cricket Beach main house has two master suites with king beds:
The downstairs master enjoys an ocean view through glass French doors that open onto the patio and pool deck. It has a large and luxurious en-suite bath with a walk-in shower, extra-large stand-alone tub, and a large and completely private outdoor shower.

The upstairs master suite enjoys another spectacular ocean view, a private balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean, and a large and luxurious en-suite bath with a walk-in shower.

Also upstairs is a guest suite with two full size beds. The guest suite has a direct ocean view and a private balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean. The en-suite bath has a walk-in shower.

Cricket Beach's fourth bedroom is located in a beachfront guest cottage beside the main house. This bedroom has a king bed and glass French doors that look out at the ocean. It has a luxurious en-suite bath with a walk-in shower and an extra-large stand-alone tub.

The estate's fifth bedroom with an XL twin bunk bed, suitable for staff or teens, is located beside the garage. It has an en-suite full bath with a walk-in shower.

Other amenities at Cricket Beach include solar power with back-up batteries so the power will always stay on during island outages, complete back-up water system, whole house water filtration system, air conditioning throughout, Starlink super-fast internet and TV, two sets of washer/dryers, a tandem kayak, and a paddle board.

As noted, La Bougainvillea's excellent beachfront restaurant and bar is walking distance down the beach. Famous Tippy's beachfront restaurant and bar is less than 5 minutes away by car. The town of Governors Harbour, the main town on the island, just 8 minutes by car from the property, has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. It has a nice little collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking a picturesque harbor. You can buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock. Friday night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour is a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street. You won't want to miss it.
