No soundproofing. No sleep due to hearing snoring from room next door all night. Could hear guy moving around in the bed as well. No coffee or coffeemaker in room. Bed was hard and very uncomfortable.

It is an older motel so you have to expect things are not going to be top of the line especially for the price. I think they are upgrading a bit at a time. The check in was easy and the man nice, room was clean, sheets were clean, washroom has been updated it was clean. Beds were not comfortable first night was terrible second night was better I guess just getting used to it.. Now to nit-pick, the hot water took a minute or two to get hot but once it did it was fine. there was a big cobweb by the light and the bathroom mirror was smudged looks like it was just wiped and not dried, minor thing.. I did not see any breakfast and no little coffee pot or hair dryer in the room. Total experience it was good.

Small older motel just outside of North Sydney, just off Hwy 125. Staff was very freindly and helpful. Room was clean. Parking was good. If you are looking for a high end place to stay, this isn't it, but if your looking for someplace quiet, layed back and comfy this is it.

This is just another Motel being run by Newly arrived immigrants. Everything about this motel is Bare Minimum. Beds, linens, microwave, furniture, mini fridge. There was No coffee or tea making appliance in the room.There is No Coffee or Tea available in the lobby. I would rate this place has 2 steps above sleeping in your car.

There are dive bars, this is a dive hotel. I tried to book a room in April at Hotel North where I stayed last year, got the indication that it was booked, was far from it. WiFi service intermittent at best at Highlands. This place has a terrible local reputation, which it richly deserves. Old, outdated are inadequate descriptions. Do NOT stay here!! Hotel North is the place to be.

Very poor quality from bedding to amenities—this property needs a major up-date and cleaning. Furniture in poor condition, limited number of pillows, no coffee/tea, toilet seat not the right shape for toilet bowl, very poor lighting, room walls very dark and the list goes on. Would not stay here again. The only redeeming feature was that the front desk clerk was friendly.

The motel and the room were old and badly in need of updating. The shower was very small and there was no tub. The toilet lid did not fit on the bowl. We had prepaid but we opted not to stay anyway.

The bed was broken. The baseboard heater had never been cleaned. The bathroom was so small we left the door open so we had room to move. We had no heat, it didn’t work.

Do not stay here, way over priced for what it is

Nothing was good about it. Paid $109 per night to sleep on a wore out mattress that was held up with 2x6 boards pillows were only 1” thick, a/c unit falling out of wall and knobs we’re broke so you can’t change anything and was cool air at best, Dirt around bed and broken tiles in bathroom that you could cut you feet on, flys coming out of overflow of sink. Handle for shower falling off, toilet seat very loose to the point you could slip off, table stickey with something, smoke detector was missing with paper towels shoved in hole where it was, smelled musty, no dead bolt on door. Wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. Walked into office and waited and waited had to go back out and ring doorbell to get someone. The soap I could not get to lather on a face cloth it’s so cheep. Way over priced for what it is. Not worth more than $50 with tax at best.

Had only 1 facecloth and 1 hand towel , the light over the bed had i light hanging out with blud not working, the other blud kept going dimp and getting brighter all night , a short i am sure ! The floor hadn't been mop / clean in a long time , my wifes feet was black ? The hot water took at least 10 minutes to get ? The bathroom had a electric plate over the mirror where a light use to hang ? Over the desk there was a light fixture with no blud in it ? There was no heat turn that was available other then a plug in heater ? Wouldn't return and would not recommend this place to anyone ?

Die Lage zur Fähre nach Neufundland war sehr praktisch, auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten vorhanden. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Leider hat das Zimmer der Tochter nach Rauch gerochen - obwohl Nichtraucherunterkunft!

I love the little Courtyard with the barbecue and benches for guests to use. Management was super welcoming to myself and my service dog and everyone was very friendly. The room needs a little bit of work but I can tell it's in process. Light bulbs need to be checked. There was no coffee machine my second stay, but I didn't ask about that so I can't complain. Very clean and comfortable.

Sometimes you find a gem....this is NOT it! Check in, no one at reception, just a number to phone. Exterior poor maintenance, peeling paint. Interior, no tea and coffe, mix and match battered furniture. Fridge with broken fascia. Small microwave but no cups, plates or cutlery. Bathroom very small with toilet between shower and basin with barely room to pass. Towel rack hanging off wall, bathmat dirty and holed. Air con unit badly fitted and noisy. The only plug next to bed was on the base of a lamp. But was off when the lamp was off. No good for a CPAP. Never saw any staff during two day stay. Expedia should drop this place like a hot coal.

This property should not be on your list of acceptable motels. So dirty and unkempt. I almost slept in the car! In fact I used 2 blankets that were in my car to sleep on I was afraid of bed bugs!! So I slept fully clothed!! Horrible and I want a refund!!! Don’t you do any due diligence work?
