Location, location, LOCATION!!
Excellent location - very short walk to beach, ferry, restaurants and stores. Nice view of ocean from front porch, front bedrooms. Accommodations were excellent with up-to-date kitchen and amenities; bedrooms were adequate size, but one bedroom probably better suited for children because of intimate contact with adjacent bedroom. Not a problem for us because there were only 6 guests (3 couples), so no need to use the room. En suite bathrooms (4) a major plus for privacy and convenience. Great porch for sitting, relaxing, and watching the world go by. Took off 1 star for cleanliness because the previous occupants left an uncleaned broiler pan in the oven - obvious cleaning crew oversight. Also, there is adequate parking for 2 cars, but it was a tight squeeze because owner did not pull their car (left behind) fully forward. A couple of extra feet could have made a significant difference. House instructions were left placed in a drawer and not discovered by us until checking everything before leaving. Should have been placed on counter or some obvious place; therefore, instructions on trash collections and information that the beach chairs were located in the basement were not discovered until then (several interior doors were locked including, I'm assuming, the basement door - fortunately we had brought our own).
These are very minor quibbles and did not detract at all from our visit. When we go back to Oaks Bluff, this place would be my very first choice. Had a wonderful time. Thank you homeowners for sharing this great house!
