Started w/low expectations. Ended with threats.

When we arrived to check in, someone else was apparently in our room. After waiting until almost midnight, the put us in a different room, expecting to resolve the issue in the morning. In the morning, the room issue was not resolved. We were asked to check out and store our things until the room assigned to us was available. We were in town for the music festival and that did not work for us. After several hours they put us in a different room. The hotel is old, dated, and not in a nostelgic way. The carpet is dirty throughout and the rooms smelled of years of salt water and sand. The beds were old and very uncomfortable. The AC was hit and miss and good luck getting hot water ... but it was 6 blocks from the festival and we had a room, so we stayed. Came to find out the hotel is under new management this year and they are hopeful to turn things around. The front desk asked us to pay the bill the next morning. We explained we have a paid in full receipt through the hotel.com app. The front desk said they would check with management and let us know if there is an issue as they presumed there was an issue with the previous management. We heard nothing further. After we checked out, management sent us a message threatening to involve the ocean city police. No questions or other communications. Not the best customer service experience nor the best hotel experience. I hope they are able to turn the place around. Its a beautiful buiding in a great location.

When I book this room with two twin beds and queen bed, having a pullout sofa, I paid $30 more than typical room sleep four. The picture showed was having kitchen counter, stove like a kitchenette. But as I checked in, only get a room with two queen and full out sofa. Small refrigerator and microwave. My grand daughter did not come with us, so it was manageable. The hotel.com should refund me with the credit as they should honor the booking with its description.

WORST CHECK IN!!

Horrible check in. No greeting. Bad attitude. Never made eye contact. No smile. Lazy. The room didn’t have any bar/chain lock. Did not feel safe. Place stunk. No Internet service. Phone in the room didn’t work. Blinds were too short to close all the way for privacy. So many complaints here but the worst was the guy that checked us in. Absolutely horrible service. Why do they hire people like that??

Please avoid staying here. Overall disgusting and has a HORRIBLE smell. We stayed in an apartment that was three bedrooms and one bathroom. We originally booked it for two bathrooms. The one single bathroom we had, was dirty and the tub was clogged. I went to the office and the man at the front was disrespectful and had a nasty tone. The kitchen wasn’t even cleaned well, the fames to the bed were broken, the doors looked like they were going to fall off, the blinds didn’t even work correctly. This was truly the WORST place I have stayed in at Ocean City. Truly regret booking this place.

The property was in decent condition and right on the boardwalk. Some things in the room could use a little updating, but overall, it was pretty decent for a 100 year motel. I would definitely recommend.

Great memories to the worst ever..

I love the nostalgia about the majestic being 100 yrs old but it might have been the worst place I have ever stayed at. Ask for room service didn’t do my room whole stay. Walls had holes, air conditioner hanging out of wall with a 2” gap to the outside. Everything was just old with no upgrades. I get they are tearing it down in October but let people know the pictures shown are nothing how it looks now. Location was great but nothing else except the lady who checked me in was good about this hotel. Even the help was not very good. Several times the front desk was un manned with signs saying be right back and over an hour later they appeared. Very sad what a hotel of that caliber use to be and the joy it brand to many has been let slip into this sadness.

This property is mad dirty and they don’t wash the single folding bed . It has bed bugs. Sink were clogged and rented to us. Also door handle came out . Most importantly it shows you would get the room beach view house floor with balcony. But, they will assign you a private house a block away in the 2nd floor. This is worst place i have ever stayed.

The worst stay of my life

Was promised oceanview. How can you see the ocean out of dirty windows. Just windows. The room was tiny. Could barely walk around the bed to the bathroom. At night the store beliw the hotel would have their spotlight on all night it would shine in my window. No curtains, just white mini blinds that were to small for the window. The plumbing was terrible. Everytime you took a shower you'd have water past your ankles.
