For the second time, during my stay at the Princess Royale the fire alarm went off at 7:00am, scaring and waking up out whole family. We received no compensation for this ruining our day, and my ears are still ringing from the loud alarm. When the alarm was going off there was no one at the desk to address our concerns, just a guy at the electrical box that told us this was a false alarm. I understand that sometimes issues can happen that are unexpected but this was the second time. If the construction is causing this, they should wait until later on the morning to begin, or have a shutoff switch for a false alarm. Also, they removed the Jacuzzi and saunas, which were a great amenity that we enjoyed. The pool is all that remains, and it was cold. I am very disappointed and will rethink staying here in the future.

Weekend family stay

Princess Royale used to be our go to spot for our off season getaway. This was our first trip in about 2 years. We stayed in a suite overlooking the pool area. We were disappointed that the inside hot tub was gone but it was replaced with a small arcade area. Pool is still very nice. The front desk lady was very friendly and check In and out was fast and easy. The beds were comfy and clean. The kitchen area could of been cleaner. It seems the previous guest used some items and just put them back without cleaning them but there is a dishwasher in the room. Great location. Lots of food delivery options or easy to slip out and pick something up. Would recommend this hotel to others.

Not worth the cost.

The hotel is undergoing renovations so some areas are not accessible. The building is huge, and there are multiple elevators, however there are almost zero signs telling you where your rooms are, where the pool is etc. At one point we ended up exiting in a parking garage filled with old furniture and having to walk down an alley to get to the correct parking garage. The weekend we stayed there was a cheer competition being held at the convention center and many of the families stayed here. There were parents and teenagers in the hallways SCREAMING and running after 11. When I called the front desk they said they would send security up, but the screaming didn’t stop. The last complaint is about the sleep sofa - the sofa was lovely but the mattress was the worst I have ever slept on. Yes it was a sleep sofa, but they could have purchased an upgraded mattress. The pillows in the closet that were provided for the sleep sofa also had dirty pillowcases on them. Overall- I don’t think I would stay here again.
