Farmhouse Lodge in Texel near the Dyke

The gravelled path leads you to this lodge for six people. Heavy stable doors, arched windows and old Dutch tiles combine the elements of traditional farm life with today's comforts. Beautiful wood carvings and a stately thatched roof give you an immediate impression of rural life in Texel. And then there is its unique location: in the middle of a small hamlet, with views of the dyke. At most, the peace will be disturbed by a tractor, cyclists, or a pair of geese.

The Florijn 2 is one of 4 farmhouse lodges, its entrance is the door on the far right. The lodge features a fully equipped kitchen which forms the heart of the home. The home has many authentic details, such as the bedrooms with stable windows at ankle height. Behind the French windows, you will find the 2-metre high stable doors and the cosy private terrace.

The little ones can explore the 1000 m2 large playing field with a wooden playground ship next to the terrace. You can reach the dyke with a view of the sea within 10 minutes. For a fun trip on Texel, your first choice will be the lovely village of Oosterend with its characteristic village centre (4 km).

Note for cot: bring your own bed linen for the cot in connection with safety and hygiene for the little ones.

Der Kamin sorgte für eine besonders schöne Atmosphäre, vor allem abends. Ich kann diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen, wenn Sie einen ruhigen Rückzugsort suchen. Denken Sie nur daran, Ihre eigene Bettwäsche für das Kinderbett mitzubringen, wie in der Beschreibung erwähnt. Alles in allem ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt!

Die Lodge war geräumig und für unsere sechsköpfige Gruppe bestens ausgestattet. Wir haben die mehreren Schlafzimmer und Badezimmer sehr geschätzt, die unseren Aufenthalt äußerst komfortabel machten. Es herrschte eine friedliche und entspannende Atmosphäre, nur ab und zu hörte man einen vorbeifahrenden Traktor. Die Lage ist ideal für Erkundungstouren, mit nahegelegenen Sehenswürdigkeiten wie De Schorren und dem wunderschönen Deich, der nur einen kurzen Spaziergang entfernt ist. Wenn Sie einen ruhigen Ort zum Entspannen inmitten der Natur suchen, ist dies eine ausgezeichnete Wahl.

FeWo De Dukaat NL-0007-91

Die FeWo war bei Ankunft nicht komplett gereinigt (volle Mülleimer, in einem Zimmer schmutziger Fußboden und vergessene Sachen von Vormietern). Sehr hellhörig, die Wände zur Nachbarwohnung sind zu dünn. Möbel haben keine Filzkleber, so dass Stühlerücken u.ä. laut schallt. Die Matratzen und die Kopfkissen sind mit einer Gummihülle versehen und dadurch sehr unbequem (Material wie bei Kindermatschhosen). Die Decken waren zu warm (eher für den Winter geeignet). Im Badezimmer (Erdgeschoss) roch es aus dem Duschabfluss nach Kanalisation, besonders an Regentagen. Alles Dinge, die den Aufenthalt weniger erholsam werden lassen und die man anders machen bzw. beheben könnte. Bei dem hohen Mietpreis könnte man etwas anderes erwarten, auch im Hinblick auf die Ausstattung.

Gezin met jonge kinferen

Aangename en ruime woning. Minder warm weer dus niet veel gebruik kunnen maken van het terras en de ruime tuin. Gelukkig was er voldoende ruimte in het huisje. Alles aanwezig voor een aangenaam verblijf. Eerder aan de rustige kant van het eiland maar alles is gemakkelijk per fiets of een korte auto rit te bereiken.

Sehr schönes Appartement mit rustikal geschmackvollem Ambiente. Der Kamin verbreitete eine behagliche Wärme. Ruhig gelegen und ideal als Ausgangspunkt für Radtouren. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, selbst die Küchenmesser waren scharf. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Nice 3-bedroom apartment in old farmhouse style. We enjoyed the woodstove in particular and the quietness. Ample parking space and 10 -15 minutes drive by car to the sandy beaches and dunes on the west of Texel. By bicycle app. 10 km to multiple towns. All beds were single, regrettably no double.
