Our stay was a series of misadventures. A ½ hour before check in we were moved to a different unit and a one hour later time. There was a locksmith still working, with the door opened, as we moved in. When he left, we discovered a serious water leak coming from the ceiling in the laundry room. The host arranged for a plumber to visit that evening, but the leak was coming from the heating system and could not be fixed; for the remainder of our 3 night stay the furnace was switched off and the heat in the condo coming from the gas fireplace. The water leak continued and the flood contained with the use of a large bucket that we emptied 3 times daily.Further to all of this the condo had been falsely advertised by VRBO as a 3 bedroom unit but was in truth only a 2 bedroom with a pull-out couch in one of the bedrooms. We were 6 persons and had rented the unit particularly because we wanted a third bedroom. This was very disappointing.Our host was reachable by phone or message and she did in fairness give us a 1 night refund in lieu of all the drama but she was apparently out of town for the weekend so at no point did anyone visit us in the condo to assess the situation nor did we ever receive any explanation of why our original condo booking needed to be changed at the last minute, why the lock on the front door needed to be replaced just as we arrived and why no-one seemed to know that there was a flood in the laundry room!Overall a very unimpressive performance by VRBO..
