Here everything is set for a pleasant stay in the heart of the Sunnmøre Alps (Sunnmørsalpene) 1.3km from the center of Sæbø. beautiful panoramic views of the fjord and the mountains that constantly changes character in light, colors and weather, all depending on the season you visit. this place is awesome location for artists to find inspiration for paintings or photographs. The holiday home is a good starting point if you want to explore the attractions of Sunnmøre and Nordfjord, or to walk in the mountains, and take day trips by car in the district. You can visit places like Volda and Ørsta, Fosnavåg, Briksdalsbreen, Geiranger fjord (Unesco heritage listed) and Trollstigen, as well as the bird sanctuary at Runde or the art nouveau town of Ålesund.

In the autumn in Sep, Oct and Nov, it is particularly Beautiful here, also in the spring of March, April and May. Skiing possible in dec, Jan, feb.

Sæbø is located on the "Queens Route" from Ålesund to Geiranger, Sæbø is a good travel destination for an extraordinary holiday. This region has for more than a century been an inspiration for tourists and artists to find inspiration, even big Hollywood movies have used our mountains as a backdrop in the movie "Black Widow" by the film company "Marvel". The area is unusual beautiful with the majestic Sunnmørsalpene. This is the best of what Norway has to offer in nature scenery.

The Place:
The holiday home has two floors in use with a large open sun-terrace of 55m2 facing south west with outdoor furniture, BBQ, and sun umbrella, to the south there is a small covered balcony with a few chairs. The house offers all comforts with modern accommodation, Fast wifi – 317 Mbps. accommodates up to 8 people.
15 min Walking distance to Sæbø center.

Rooms:
The lower floor of the holiday house contains the entrance with a wardrobe, a hall with access to a bathroom with toilet and shower, 4 bedrooms: 2 double beds 150cm wide, 1 split motorized double bed 180cm wide. 2 single beds 90cm wide.

The living-room is 53m2 and feels very spacious with dining area for 6 people +2 possible to ad tow more chairs, two sofas and a TV area with Norwegian and international channels, apps like YouTube, HBO MAX, Netflix etc. The living room also has a large piano at your disposal. instead of using the fireplace use only the new 2024 heat pump for heat in the winter and all year round, possible for air conditioning to cool yourself in the summer. From the living-room there are doors leading out to the balconies. landscaped garden and large backyard with lawn.

kitchen has dining space for 8 people contains most of what you need to cook, the refrigerator is a built-in corner refrigerator that holds 1200Liters of food and drinks, In the kitchen you will also find a Smart TV with Apple TV.

The bathroom in the main floor contains a toilet, bidet and shower, large bathroom cabinets with a lot of closet space, whirlpool with air massage. entrance to the sauna which has fiber optic color changing lights. The bathroom has also entrance to the laundry room as well, where you will find, a washing machine and tumble dryer, detergent, clothes drying rack, working bench, central vacuum and exit to the backyard.

Hallway upstairs is a 80L freezer.

Access; Recommended itinerary by plane to Ålesund airport, Vigra (AES) + 2 hours by rental car or Ørsta Volda airport (HOV) + 30 min by rental car.
if you drive from Oslo, then drive by stryn, to Volda, to Sæbø.

From Høgeskjerva 24 it is about a 2 minutes drive to the town centre. Here you will find 2 grocery stores, beach, hotel, camping and seasonal niche shops such as bakery, craft shop, art gallery, street kitchen, ATM machine and more.

Right by the beach is "Kapteinkvia", a community centre open to all. "Kapteinkvia" is equipped with its own grill, pizza oven and a gapahuk with seating for about 50 people, and a public toilet.

In the vicinity there are possibilities for both longer top tours, family friendly tours and ski tours. Some of the most popular tours are Slogen, Saksa, Skårasalen, Gunnar-råsa and #Sæbønestua. Check out @oppdagsunnmøre for good hiking destinations!

In Hjørundfjorden you will also find Christian Gaard farmyard. There is a pub and restaurant, which in summertime has several festivals; Country, rock and blues. At Urke you will find Urke Kaihus, where you can buy something good to eat and drink.

Please note that not all outdoor amenities are available in late autumn and winter. like the outdoor furniture, it can be difficult to get the jacuzzi ready if there is snow and ice. If you want to grill outdoors, you can use my new clean-burning fire-pit, which has a number of accessories such as a grate and roasting pan and skewers, tongs, flippers. you can use the outdoor chairs around the firepit, firewood can be bought at petrol stations in winter, you can also use barbecue charcoal.

I will do my best to follow up on your wishes as far as it goes. in the winter I will keep the road to the house open from snow with plowing and spreading when needed.

the fireplace indoors works but I do not recommend using it at all because it creates a strange smell/gas that does not feel good on the body. have found plasic balloons but the problem is still there.
instead of using the fireplace in the living room use only the new 2024 installed heat pump for heat in the winter and all year round, also possible for air conditioning to cool yourself in the summer.
