Awful experience, upgrade works builders right outside window on staging at 6.30 am, dangerous walk through building area to get to breakfast area, shocking check in couldn’t take payment or provide receipt had to go back 3 times, no minibar not the quality given the price
Very friendly and helpful staff. Close walking proximity to main attractions and restaurants. Comfortable rooms but small showers. Breakfast buffet was good with lots of options.
A wonderful place to stay, close to all the major sights in the city centre. The hotel has a lot of construction going on so it looks a little messy but the room itself, the reception area, and the staff were excellent. As others have mentioned, the breakfasts were truly outstanding.
While booking, the hotel failed to say they are under major major construction. It’s difficult to park. The construction noise starts at 8am. The hotel should not be operating until it finishes its construction

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The hotel is undergoing a large amount of building work with workmen all over the hotel indoors and out. The drilling and banging starts before 7am and continues until after 6pm on weekdays . Weekends are much quieter. So if you want a quiet holiday you will be disappointed. This seems to have been going on for a while and i think the hotel should contact people beforehand to give them a chance to cancel. I had to change room after the first night to opposite side of the hotel as the noise was horrendous.
Reception area is also like a building site.
Having said that the facilities and staff were fine ,although the gym is closed indefinitely and there was no wi fi in some rooms for 2 days of my stay in March.
It is in a good location for transport around the city in a safe area. Ten minutes walk to the tram stop at Akker Brygg.
Rooms are clean and housekeeping everyday.
Breakfast was ok
I think i would give this hotel 4/5 if not for the building work so just 2/5 .
This is the best place I’ve ever stayed in Europe. Great breakfast buffet, comfortable bed, quiet, big room and big bathroom, and so close to everything.
