The hotel is great, the staff is super helpful. It has excellent facilities better than avg Holiday Inn Express, interestingly enough it has a small pool which some people would like. The gym is very good. The breakfast is better in the early hours, as the time passes it has limited options offered, but the staff can provide you what you need. I had a good stay It is very close to Rideau downtown with lots of bars and restaurants. Though, for women walking alone it might feel a bit unpleasant as there are many homeless persons around the property.

The hotel itself was excellent, although I would only stay with they relocated the hotel , or the city of Ottawa did something about the homeless. Thank goodness I was travelling with my husband as I would not have felt safe walking the streets without him.

Check in initially was a challenge. I called ahead and I was told I would be able to park ahead of check in even if my room wasn’t ready. I was advised to not come before 11. I arrived at 1230, and I was told there was no parking. I was told if I waited in the drop off area someone would come to get me if a space cleared. After an hour, I went in and was checked in with a parking spot - no one came to get me. Be aware of this! They did say there was parking down the block but the area is sketchy. Room was amazing. Spacious and clean. I was very impressed. Breakfast was good with lots of options but limited seating. Pool water was murky. There is a ring of dirty around the pool. They need to drain the pool and give it a good clean! Area around the hotel unfortunately has many individuals who are homeless and on drugs. Once you get a few blocks away to byward market, there are still areas that are concerning. Nothing happened to us but we wouldn’t feel comfortable being out late without being dropped off by Uber.

Breakfast included, good spread. Driving into area from Byward Market was a little sketchy bc of a homeless support centre nearby but our view was fine and didn’t have any other issues. Parking lot is underground with tight corners, may be difficult for big trucks.

Didn't advertise had to pay for parking. Insufficient parking, but underground parking was narrow and not laid out well. Only 2 elevators for such a large building meant lots of waiting, especially at peak times. Breakfast was good for what it was, but again a very inefficient layout and not enough seating. Unfortunately not a lot of restaurant options within walking distance which meant navigating the parking garage more often.
