Holiday Beach House sits just a few hundred feet away from a private beach, pond, and quiet dead end road. This timeless Maine cottage is the perfect home base for beach days, exploring, and enjoying the outdoors. The deck sits off the kitchen for easy outdoor meals, and the beachfront picnic table is perfect for quick lunches among days of swimming, kayaking, and skipping rocks. The property has lots of land for yard games, and a man made pond just behind the home that is fun to explore. This dead end road is also great for biking, running, or walking a dog.  

The house sleeps 6 total, with two upstairs bedrooms and a bunk sleeping area in the lower, walkout basement entertainment center. The open concept kitchen, dining, and living area promotes family time and relaxation.  The kids will have lots of space to play indoors on the rare raining day. This location is all about the beach! Set up some beach chairs in the morning and spend the day lounging, watching the schooners and lobster boats travel up and down Penobscot Bay.  

Head north and enjoy the happening town life that the adjoining towns of Rockland, Rockport and Camden have to offer or head south and experience "the way life used to be" in Owls Head, Thomaston, Spruce Head, and Tenants Harbor.  Close by attractions include Owls Head Light State Park or the Owls Head Transportation Museum. With downtown Rockland a short ride away, you can enjoy the Farnsworth Museum, wonderful art galleries, interesting shopping and art museums, plentiful restaurants, golf courses, as well as the museum at the end of the Breakwater inside the Rockland Light, which is still in operation.

BEACH CLASSIFICATION: We have categorized this property as having or being near a sandy beach. More specifically for this property - the house itself is on Holiday Beach, which has large rounded rocks. It is about a mile to Crescent Beach. Two other great area beaches are nearby. The closest is Crockett's Beach, but also Birch Point Beach State Park is within a 5 minute drive of the property. There is not an actual usable sandy beach at this property - it is rocky, but the nearby beaches are great for kids and that is why we have classified it as being on or in this case - "near" sandy beaches.
