It’s a motel. And: perfect location! Hearing the ocean was wonderful. The walls are thin and we heard all conversations of neighbors. Beds are comfy. Rooms are clean. Shower pressure amazing! Price: really good considering location. Since we usually stay in hotels (which were 5-6 times the price of this room during the dates we needed to book) we would have loved more amenities, but considering the location and price, this was really good. Would stay again just for the location. Great hiking right outside from room.

I used the live agent feature on Expedia last night during my stay trying to get a refund because the room was terrible and nothing like Expedia advertised it to be. There is an open case now that im waiting on to hear if I will be getting a refund or not. I supported my concerns with pictures to the live agent and when the agent tried to reach out to the hotel, of course, nobody answered the phone at the hotel lobby due to the lovby being closed already at 9pm. When arriving to our room, it reminded my wife and I of a jail cell. The walls were terrible looking with multiple patch marks that were done very poorly, our heater didnt work, there was mold in a corner of the room near the door entrance, there was some kind of stain splattered across the mirror in the bathroom, and the bed to the room did not seem anything close to the Queen room that I selected. I also selected an ovean view room and due to the room being at the same level as the parking area, when you looked out the window you saw nothing but a row of cars and not the ocean. This place was terrible and I would never in my life recommend it to anyone. If you look at my booking history all of my purchases are pretty good/decent hotels so based off the pictures presented by Expedia, I figured this room would be just as good and especially based on the 4.3 stars that it was rated and it was nothing close to that. My wife and I slept on top of the covers fully clothed. All of this was also reported to the live agent.

The room was clean, the shower was hot, and the towels were thick. The whole area looked a bit tired and weather worn - it could benefit from a fresh paint/stain job, but otherwise suited our modest needs perfectly.

Location was amazing- right in front of the breaker waters and beach! The front desk was super nice and very accommodating. We arrived early and she gave us tge option of 3 different room locations- very much appreciated! The room was clean and had All amenities needed except for a blow dryer. I found out you had to put in a request for one, which was very odd. LOVED having our windows open at night to hear the waves crashing! Area was very quiet and felt safe with a restaurant right next door. We had to check out before the office opened at 9am, so left our room key in a designated tray in lobby. I was not too thrilled about leaving our key out in the open to public with no staff around because anyone could walk into lobby and use our marked room number key to enter our room after we left and before staff arrived. The area seemed safe enough but nowadays you just don’t know about someone going in and vandalizing or stealing items…. Otherwise we loved everything else about this hotel and would recommend!

Nice little beachfront motel. Friendly staff, clean and quiet rooms. So convenient to walk across the parking lot to access the beach. Enjoyed a good dinner next door at Nick’s Rockaway restaurant.
