Designed by Palmer & Krisel, built by Alexander, and the former hangout for the Rat Pack and the Stars. This bungalow-style unit is set quietly away from the main drag and Palm Canyon Drive - the perfect location with no one above or below you, and easy direct access to and from your vehicle with no stairs & no gates to access, and free parking for you. This condo was featured on the 2017 & 2023 Modernism Tours and the complex now has a Historic Designation!

Magnificent San Jacinto mountain and palm tree views to be enjoyed from the unit and the oversized patio. Your stay includes FREE high-speed wifi & cable and ALL utilities plus all the amenities such as the champagne cork shaped pool and the 2 hot-tub spas. Luxury king-sized bed and fresh linens, 2 Smart TVs, oversized private patio that runs the length of the condo, a Gas BBQ, and more! Well appointed kitchen is fully outfitted for a short or long stay. Vita-Mix for smoothies & Pina Coladas, Keurig, coffee maker, and French Press, Full-size Stove & Fridge, and the list goes on. Also, a Brand New Full-Size Front-Load LG Washer & Dryer inside the condo unit!

Featuring the largest pool in the area, and 2 big flower-shaped hot tubs with awesome jets. This historically significant property is attributed to famous desert architect William Krisel and was originally owned by Gene Autry as a hotel back in the day.
Tons of fabulous MCM history here, and of course the classic mid-century vibe everyone wants for their Palm Springs visit.

The Ace Hotel, Saguaro, Sparrows, Koffi, Elmers, Purple Room, and Smoke Tree marketplace are all very close by (within walking /biking distance), and we are on the bus line to outstanding dining, shopping, downtown, and countless tourist destinations, golf, museums, arts, festivals, concerts, tournaments. Modernism Week, Pride festivities, BNP Paribas Open, Film Festival, Coachella, Stagecoach, American Express Classic, Acrisure Arena, Polo Fields, Firebirds, Car Shows, Agua Caliente, amd new Disney complex coming soon, etc.

Mid-Century Perfection!

My fiancé and I were in Palm Springs for Modernism Week. We wanted to celebrate by staying in a Mid-Century style unit and we were not disappointed. Our host was most gracious and attentive to answering our questions and checking in on us as to how we were doing. Our unit was bright and airy and centrally located near downtown Palm Springs. The unit also had access to a magnificent swimming pool and hot tub. We were thoroughly delighted with our stay and look forward to returning.

What a great place to stay for a Palm Springs vacation, 5 stars all-around.Prior to and during the trip, host Sarah was friendly and easy to communicate with at all times.The ample space was impeccably clean, and offered everything we needed; from a comfortable bed and more than enough linens to kitchen utensils, games, and a even a steamer for the rumpled travel clothes.The condo complex itself felt truly like home away from home. Quiet and respectful, with friendly fellow residents and vacationers. The pool was fantastic with tons of seating, umbrellas, and space.Location-wise, we didn't feel a need to rent a car. Ride shares were always near by, plus there were enough things near by that were walkable too (coffee shop, eating, grocery and supplies). Downtown was a quick ride away too, and we enjoyed the drivers that liked to share Palm Springs info and tips with us.If it's not clear yet, I highly recommend this space!

Living the Palm Springs Life!

Eye-popping fun waking up to your own “Palm Springs” sign! The sun peeking through the vertical shades… slide open the glass door to the patio… step out into palms and mountain views. Walk to Elmers for a breakfeast… coffee at Kofi… hop in your car and explore all that SoCal has to offer. Come back to a romantically lit quiet property… take a dip in the pool… chillax in your mid-century pad… fall into a comfy bed… and do it all again the next sunny morning! What’s not to like?!

Wonderful stay!

The property was perfect for us. It was well stocked, clean, bright and in a great location close to golf, hiking, biking and restaurants. Also near wonderful neighborhoods for walking. The pool and sauna areas were large and not very crowded. Host was very responsive, proactive and helpful. Very enjoyable stay!

The Perfect Getaway

Desert oasis

This property was amazing. The description and images are entirely accurate representations of what to expect. The furniture was comfortable and stylish and the overall aesthetic and design was reflective the location and it's history. The pool was fantastic and very welcome in the hot desert conditions. I cannot fault anything about the accommodation, if you are thinking of booking it then don't hesitate you won't be disappointed. Our host Sarah was very welcoming, clearly communicating the check in processes and was very responsive to any communications, and did everything possible to ensure we had an enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Perfect PS Mid Mod Getaway!

It was such fun to stay for 11 days in this very well appointed and updated unit in the historic Ocotillo Lodge! The unit is decorated in a bright and fun Palm Springs Mid Mod style, and the furnishings are comfortable and functional both inside and out. The king size bed was very comfortable to sleep in and the bathroom (with two sinks!) was light and bright! The kitchen has everything you would want for your visit whether you want to eat inside or BBQ outside on the private patio. The location was very convenient being only 5 mins away from downtown and grocery shopping! The pool area was awesome and I learned it's the 2nd largest pool in PS! I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

Great location, great vibe!

What a terrific little mid mod place! Sarah has really created a great vibe in the unit. The location to downtown, the pool being steps away, the instagramable decor was all wonderful. To top it off her communication was speedy and helpful when needed. Super comfy bed…appreciated the snacks and bubbly for our arrival. Can’t say enough about this place! Thanks so much!

Wonderful, memorable stay

Loved this property - so unique, clean and comfortable. The bed was so comfy and although it wasn’t quite warm enough to swim we enjoyed the hot tub and beautiful pool area with a gorgeous view of the mountains. Located super close to restaurants, shopping and activities and was a great place to come back to after visiting Joshua Tree. Host was very responsive and welcoming. The only bad part was having to leave. Look forward to staying here again in the future!

This property was cozy and welcoming. Everything was pristine and clean. We enjoyed early morning coffee on the side porch with views of the surrounding mountains. It was spectacular! The grounds of the Ocotilla Lodge are beautiful. They seem to actually take you back in time. We look forward to a return visit already!!

We had seen the unit the previous year, during Modernism. We knew we had to stay there as soon as possible, but that had to wait to 2024 Modernism. It was beyond amazing. Walking distance to Koffi, and Elmer's if you don't want to drive. Comfortable and fun. It made us feel like locals. Can't wait to do it again.

Fun MCM property

From the first impression to the dread of having to leave this property and Palm Springs, this was everything we wanted in a Palm Springs stay. The modest apartment was very clean upon arrival, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Our host, Sarah was ready to answer questions whenever we had one. She was only a text away. I will highly recommend this property to friends and family.
