Heart of Amish Country - Paradise Cottage

Our newly renovated Heart of Amish Country Paradise Cottage is located in central Lancaster County just a short drive from the most popular Lancaster attractions. You can hear the Strasburg Railroad trains in the valley below!
We're located just 10 min. from the Sight & Sound Theater, Strasburg Rail Road & Kitchen Kettle Village in Intercourse, 13 min. from Dutch Wonderland & the village of Bird in Hand. Enjoy watching the Amish buggies roll by this cozy quiet getaway.

The cottage has 3 bedrooms (2 queen beds & 1 double bed) and 2 full bathrooms, including an ensuite bathroom for the master bedroom. Guests have a private lodging with private entrance. The owner lives in the lower level (semi-basement) of the house. She will be available if needed, but otherwise will respect the privacy of her guests.
2025 - our lodging now features a newly installed Kinetico water sytem.

Advertised rate is for up to 2 guests. Be sure to enter total number of guests on the booking form to get the accurate rate for your stay.

We loved the Paradise cottage! It was so clean, well equipped with everything you could ever need, snacks and coffee and even delicious homemade cookies. We all agreed the beds were so comfortable. The home was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The personal touches Ruthann did around the house were perfect. It was nice to have snacks, tea and coffee available for us. There also were cupcakes too. At first we were disappointed there wasn’t a TV but it also allowed us to talk more. I would stay here again.

The house and landscaping were very neat and clean. Well stocked kitchen with a variety of snacks. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Could have used some grab bars in the showers. Very nice deck area. Nice neighborhood, but on a very busy road with lots of truck traffic. Convenient location to Sights and Sounds Theater and Strasburg Railroad.

Fabric Shopping Getaway

RuthAnn's home was the perfect retreat at the end of a day of fabric shopping for my friend and I. The house was clean and beds were comfortable. The back deck was the perfect place to discuss our fabric purchases, look over patterns, talk about the day and make plans for the next. We hope to return to Paradise Cottage next year!

The paradise College three bedroom very, very clean. The hospitality of Ruth was awesome. The location beside the road was a little iffy. Traffic was heavy.
