Hotel room

The floors was dirty and the walls had stains. Even I had late check out housekeeping still knock on my door early to clean room which I was not happy with. I wouldn't stay there again need to update their systems.

Good value near Metro stop

We stayed in the Hotel Rex. (Hotel Comprador is two doors down with a different hotel in between.) It is a beautiful old building (high ceilings, spiral staircase, moldings, tall windows, tile bath) that could use some updates. The one-man elevator is great when you have luggage, and made some fun photos. There was a small refrigerator in our room, but with only one electrical outlet, we didn't use it. The hand-held shower is challenging for those accustomed to a wall mount. Breakfast was good and typically French: tea, coffee, juice, water, cereal, and a small pain and croissant with butter and jam. They allowed us to leave our luggage there after we checked out. Because it is close to the metro and some pubs, and there is always someone at the desk, we didn't feel unsafe, even coming back late at night. This is a good place to stay if you are there to see Paris, not the inside of a hotel room.

it's what you can expect for the price. I booked a family room, but as we arrived, we were told it's only for 2 adults. The lovely french man at the reception sort it out immediately with his wonderful french accent. We would go back! :)

horrible experience

I had an extremely horrible experience at this hotel, rude unhelpful receptionists, Squeezed rooms, very old, smelly, very tiny elevator. The receptionists did not help with luggage, were extremely rough and rude. Location is the only positive. I don't recommend it at all.

Central and easy to get to from Transport

I chose the hotel due to location and budget, it was the cheapest in central Paris. It is ok, nothing to write home about, but if you are out and about all day - who cares. It was clean, safe and the bed was firm. Ask for a room overlooking the courtyard (in the back).

Disgraceful

Bad advertising. Does not deserve any stars. Back packer hostel at best. Would not return overvalued. Attic room not functional. No aircon. Bed leg held together with wire, later propped up with blanket so we could sleep.

A few friends and I stayed here as part of my birthday weekend. We are university students and obviously we were on a budget. During the off season, the prices were very reasonable for our budget and everything close was very well priced. The metro wasn't too far. We also had a pretty spacious room for a Paris hotel and we didn't have any complaints while we were there. It was a very enjoyable stay, but we didn't spend much time in the hotel.

got to the hotel and are name was not even booked in had no rooms for ous so we had to walk round 4 hotel to we got a room was not very happy with it all

Awful breakfast, perfect location

The hotel was just fine, it was what is to be expected at that price in that very central, very convenient, very lively location. The breakfast though was awful, a small baguette and a croissant with some cheap jam and butter, full stop. If you're counting on your price being "breakfast included", don't regard it as that. Apart from that, staff were friendly and helpful, room was of a reasonable size, it's a place to sleep in, with no glitter.

A place to sleep

The room was okay. Its a place to sleep, but you dont want to "sleep in". Cleanliness - the walls and ceiling are old, you will find a lot of spots and faded color. However, I found no dust. Quality of service - very good if you speak french, the staff barely speaks english, but they get by and they are friendly. Hotel amenities - do not pay extra for breakfast, its not worth it. Bathroom is filthy, probably clean, but it looks so old and "trashy" that normal cleaning wont help. My room had hot water in the shower, my friends room did not. All in all, a decent place to stay, but do not expect anything else but roof over your head and a soft bed to sleep in. No Wi-Fi in rooms, but great Wi-Fi in common areas and stairs. Hotel is located superclose to main subway line and 10 minute walking distance to the Opera, a bit longer to Louvre and other tourist areas.

The worst

I've been to hundreds of hostels and hotels. This place is not one I would recommend. Mold, not clean, outdated. Well located, but I would have gotten something a little more expensive just for the fact that I was even afraid I shower. Do not recommend.

Für den kurzen Aufenthalt war es okay. Wenn man mehr in der Stadt unterwegs ist als im Hotel, ist der Komfort ausreichend und die Lage super. Aber trotzdem noch ein paar Eindrücke: - Die Zimmernummer war mit einem Edding auf der Tür notiert. - Die Küchendame und Putzfrauen waren überaus freundlich. - Bei Klaustrophobie würde ich ein Zimmer buchen, das ohne Fahrstuhl erreichbar ist, denn der Fahrstuhl ist sehr alt und eng. - Das Frühstück besteht standardmäßig aus Tee/Kaffee mit Marmelade und Brötchen/Croissants. - Man muss sich selbst um alles kümmern und nach allem fragen, von sich aus, bekommt man nur wenige Infos.

Goede plek voor een verblijf van 1 of 2 nachten.

Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is ok. Leuke centrale locatie. Voor één of twee nachten zou ik het hotel zo weer boeken. Ontbijt is sober maar voldoende. Broodjes, Croissants, muesli, diverse soorten jam, koffie, thee en jus d'orange.

Very low satisfaction on my spending

정말 비추임. 차라리 외곽으로 가고 그 돈으로 맛난거 사 드세요. 비싼 돈 내고 얻은 교훈임. I even don't want to recall how I felt. Some of pros & cons are : + Good location where Metro is in 2 min. distance + a lot of dinning spots + Breakfast - Dirty Room and pillow (turned into clearly seen yellow) - Very old facilities and equipment which need immediate updates or repair, definitely both. - Dust in floor - No Shampoo / Shower gel - Griffity on doors of closet
