We had such a lovely stay at Le Mareuil that we decided to book it again for when we return from a sojourn elsewhere. The staff is so kind and attentive, the room was comfortable, very clean, and nicely appointed, breakfast was very good, and the recommendations for restaurants nearby were just right. The location in our opinion was fantastic—just outside the marais, so not as crowded, although there were plenty of nearby places that Parisians seemed to frequent. But the hotel, on a small street not far from the Place du Republique, was a quiet oasis.

Joli hôtel, très propre, très tranquille. Localisé un peu hors du centre mais facilement accessible en métro. Secteur touristique à environ 5 min de marche. La chambre est petite (comme la majorité des hôtels à Paris) mais il aurait été utile de maximiser les espaces de rangement (utiliser des meubles avec tiroirs). J'y retournerais.

The hotel has a really nice location, easy to get around and there is shops close by which is very convenient. The rooms are a nice size for Paris, there was a few small things that meant it was not quite perfect like the tap was broken and there was iron burn marks in the carpet but overall a good experience.

More Expensive and Less Bang for your Buck

It was a smaller hotel and the rooms were smaller than I expected. My cousins who also stayed here were unimpressed with the size as well. But it was nevertheless a very professional hotel and was easy access to where we needed to go in Paris. I would probably look for somewhere else to stay next time though. I wouldn't run back to Hotel Le Mareuil. Nothing particularly special or memorable. Also a bit pricey for what it was. Even in the middle of Paris.
