This is a tired Hampton Inn. The carpets are old and smelly and filthy. The room smelled. The strike plate for the door was missing a screw making it hard to open the door. The shower controls are confusing. It needs a refresh. Not Hampton standards.

Fix the shower

We try to stay at a Hampton Inn when we travel. Even found one in Belfast, Ireland last year. The man at the front desk was very nice. Even suggested places to eat dinner. Room was good, clean and comfortable. Why it was not 5 stars was the shower. The control for the shower was behind one of the shower doors that do not move. You must get into the shower in order to reach the control. First you get blasted with cold water and soon after steaming hot. Not only inconvenient but also dangerous. They must fix this.

There was a poor communication between reservations and the people at the hotel desk. I made it clear I needed an immediate, early check -in and had the reservation but when I arrived at the hotel, there were no rooms available for check-in. So, I did not stay there.

The hotel is decent to stay for an overnight trip. For a longer stay, however, one should consider a couple of issues related to the location of the hotel. First, driving from the shopping mall to the hotel is a little awkward since you cannot make a left turn or a u-turn; you must drive around the nearby neighborhood to get to it. Second, there are constant traffic noise that may affect your sleep since the hotel is next to a major highway and a main road. Other issues are related to housekeeping and maintenance. There were large cracks in the bathroom sink and some dark spots in the shower. Shampoo bottle was empty, and we asked for a replacement to no avail, and we ended up leaving without a shower. Coffee machine had used coffee ground pack inside. Breakfast was ok. We would stay somewhere else the next time we're in the area.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeting us with a smile. They went above and beyond by providing great recommendations for things to do in the area. The hotel itself was very clean, and the breakfast was just right. Overall, a great stay—I would definitely stay here again.

We arrived later and check in was easy. Parking was well lit and we entered by back entrance. I thought they were redoing the floor at first. The carpet is really ugly. It looks old and moldy, but that is just the pattern. Not sure who oked this stuff but rethink it. Room was clean but very bright due to parking lot lights. There is a shade to pull down but didn't realize it last night.
